I'm a woman with 35 years of living and being socialised as a man.. Some of it has stuck, so while I predominately ID as a woman out in the big wide world, I acknowledge that I'm not quite one or the other. And I'm OK with that - this whole journey has been about being me..

And I'm OK with that - this whole journey has been about being me.. That's basically me too, except for the 35 year part. Not quite that long for me! But ya, some things about me won't change either because of that. It is part of me, not gonna stop doing what comes naturally to me to fit in, stop doing things cuz "women don't do that".

I´m Ftm non-binary /ftx pre-op Androgyne with fluid gender expression Welcome Carlin! I am FTM Non-binary/FTM Androgyne although my gender identity is increasingly fluid that even those labels aren't suffice enough at times so I go with Non-Binary or Jacey. Have been on T for four years but still pre-op
Also, Leki, I can understand your feelings all too well! I have those moments as well. You're not alone, my friend! *hugs you all!*
Hope you are well, don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions
Kind regards
Jacey

I prefer FTX than FTM because my transition is from female to androgyne, not to male nor masculine. My gender identity is tottaly ambiguous. i´m still pre-t.

I don't really know. I can go either or. Think more female Even have some female physical characteristics. Practice female beauty regimes and feel way more comfortable and natural as female regardless of the genetalia. When I am male though it is way over the top and seems forced or fake. But the confusing part is that when I have to be male more females seem to open up and be drawn to me than other males. Either they know by intuition or I make a good looking man. I think it's intuition though because as a male I am a slob. A clean good smelling slob but still a slob. I guess if I had to label myself it would be MTF NB.

Sometimes, when I feel more like an androgyne, I kinda want to say this: link
Because I think of coming out even though there is really no reason to and one of the reasons I don't is because I worry people will think I'm someone I'm not. Not that I consider my gender metal. Just that my personality and presentation don't change no matter my gender. My "gender roles" and expression are metal.

proudly, one of the androgyne identified persons.
specifically intergender or mixed gender
although many others have run from the androgyne label, towards newer terminology, i find androgyne more precise and relevant than the new murky labels. The newer ones are so broad, that it includes many things that i am not. for precision, i accept androgyne, although it is becoming more archaic.
dwells in the forest. a *wave to any others current or former identified androgynes whisper

I prefer FTX than FTM because my transition is from female to androgyne, not to male nor masculine. My gender identity is tottaly ambiguous. i´m still pre-t. I understand what you mean I am transitioning to androgyne as well. The reason I pick FTM even though I do not identify as a man/masculine because it is the only medical transition (at this moment) that will allow me to surgically modify my body to my liking. As a biological female, I was denied life-altering surgery of any kind, including removal of breasts and uterus despite the distress they caused me. The true surgery I desire to have a sexless body is not available as gender nullification surgery is illegal in most, if not all, western countries.
Here I go, accidentally mixing up genderless with sexless. I am sorry if I cause offense. My gender identity is closely linked to having a sexless and/or androgynous body.
I do like the X label though. I would love to have my passport and birth certificate display X rather than M or F. Do you wish to have this altered as well?

I desire to have an ambiguous body.
I would love to have an x in my passaport, my identification card and my birth certificate too. (or remove the sex box)

I've always been refered to as a "Man", like your a nice man, or your wife picked a good man, etc ... It doesn't bother me terribly, since thats how I look and sound.. But it feels weird, it always has, I've just ignored it.. The truth is that term doesn't really describe me accurately, but I've never heard of a term that fits and thats socially understood by most others.?
The weirdest part is, since I came out as non binary some of my female CIS friends refer to me subtly as one of the girls, or girlfriend, cuz they know me and my interests, etc., and I really like that.. Then some of my MTF friends refer to me as a "Man", and make me feel very male.? In my mind those should be opposite, but they aren't.?
I don't mind "guy", or "dude", or whatever, but "Man" makes me cringe a little sometimes.? I'm not even sure why.?
But there is no other term for me I guess.?

When I first started seeing an LGBT therapist (who knew surprisingly little about the trans community), I identified as bi-gender and bisexual. But as I learned more about the array of complexity in the non-binary arena, my perspective shifted and I began to suspect that I was situationally genderfluid.
I recognize that my gender does not fit in the tradition binary model - after many discussions with folks like Ativan (who I called my "guru") :-)
I had been on prescription HRT, but had to discontinue it due to medical issues. I am on low-dose now (very conservative doctors), more for my emotional well-being than for the purpose of transition.

Jamie
I have had a similar journey. Do you feel drawn and attracted to increasing your hrt? I see it as firstly and most importantly an effective means of addressing dysphoria but then there is always the pull, the quiet insistence, the seduction if you like of increasing euphoria from a progressive increase in hrt. I am caught in two minds. Do I resist or do I go with the flow? This question continues to confound me. Any thoughts?
Safe travels
Aisla

Seduction would be the right word.... you might not get that increase in euphoria. I get a momentary one, but truth told, I had that in the lower doses too. My end game is total body transformation. Is that your end game my dear? Or your comfort? As I understand it you are truly androgyne. My suspicion is you are right where you should be, in this moment, in this place, with your meds, your family. Walking the path of transition. The past speaks to me, you have walked down my path, you know where it leads, you took a fork on the path to the side of the mountain, and the view from where you are is heaven on earth. Thoughts based on what I know of you.
