Intended to help weight loss motivation.
Weigh in first thing in the morning after you pee and before drinking coffee, same clothes each time.
Loss tips might be good here, or why the flux.

Previous weight: 105kg (231lb) Current weight: 89kg (196lb) Goal weight: 70kg (154lb)
I used to count calories in a very strict manner but no longer do so. I eat lean meat, fruit, veggies and keep the starch vegetables to a minimum. On my "cheat" days, I eat whatever I like aka junk food, sometimes it leads to a 1-2kg gain. I was originally 88kg but gained 2kg over a weekend of relaxing my diet, I have lost 1kg already, just need to get to 88kg and keep at it.
Exercise that I do... I help my mum clean the interior and exterior of houses. Lots of sweeping, vacuuming, on knees scrubbing kitchen cabinets, cleaning and drying windows... etc. While at school, I get off the train a stop early and take a 15 minute walk to college, I enjoy the scenery route and seeing businessmen and women enjoy a coffee at a local cafe. It is relaxing. On the way home, I also take the same route home. Occasionally there will be times I have to sprint madly to catch my train, that always helps!
Junk food and a good ol' ice-cream is really my biggest weakness. Life is too short to deprive myself of my favourite foods, so it just means I order the smallest portion rather than the biggest.
My goal is to lose the remaining 19kg by July, in time to have the most satisfactory results for top surgery. If I keep going the way I am, I will most likely hit my goal weight by the end of June.
I am also doing push-ups and various other muscle exercises to help my body look more lean.

Current weight: 88kg
I am noticing that my emotional eating is highest at night, so I get cravings to eat more when I know I am not hungry. Last night, I tackled this issue by avoiding watching tv shows as this prompts me to want to overeat. Whenever I would look at the fridge or cupboard, I would tell myself that top surgery is more important than a short-term satisfaction from stuffing my face full of food, I told myself that if I eat this late now, I would surely be 89kg tomorrow than 88kg. I also realized that I have not drank much during the day and my hunger may actually be my thrist crying out. Having a drink helped settle the cravings as well as exercising self control.
Hurrah!!!

Going up.
Heavy late night dinner, large sugar cookie mid day, compulsive candy.
Today's wedding should push me over 150.
Rigorous exercise this weekend may help.
Still trending up each week....

OMG I can't believe I am even saying this but Poop before you step on the scales. No clothing. Normal clothing may add up to 7 pounds. OMG this is disgusting but feces can add up to three pounds depending. (puke) Tips? Count calories. Take into account genetics. I have native American in me so any fat is stored automatically. I lost 60 pounds by counting caloric intake to900 calories per day. My metabolism is slow. I have been eating the same as everyone else in my household and have gained 20 pounds. :rolleyes:This is fucked up because everyone else can eat more than I can and stay the same. I have to freakin' starve. That sux. But. And a Big BUT, my doctor told me I have an unusually exceptional metabolism. Really? So during the Apocalypse I will survive. Send it down now please. I went 8 days without eating anything and just drinking water and never lost energy or felt any different. So now I am a starvation diet again. I am going to go three days without food to shrink the stomach and eat no more than 900 calories a day again. It don't sound like a lot but that is when I am at my healthiest weight. I freakin hate food. I gotta' tell myself something right.

People have been telling me that I am getting fat I had a buddy that has been saying it for awhile and this week 2 coworkers said so too. My weight as of Monday was 160, which is within my normal range (goes from 158-162 being highest ever) so idk...Looking in the mirror this morning while getting dressed, I did think my ass was looking a bit bigger. Boss said today that my pants look tighter too and did mention ass specifically as well. 160 isn't heavy idt for my size, I know I am not overweight. Idk where they are getting this I look fatter stuff from tho cuz my weight hasn't changed really. My native american blood gives me high metabolism, the only area I don't really like is my belly area but even that isn't big idt or stick out... I will admit tho, kinda have been being a little piggy last few days, lol, been eating quite a lot, especially thursday...hard to avoid, working in a restaurant and being bored. If I mentioned what i ate, prolly give someone a heartache thinking bout it so won't!

I weigh myself in the morning with just underwear on. Clothes definately add weight so I much rather prefer getting accurate results.
I did the 900-1000 calorie thing, dropped weight and had more energy than before. Heck, I once went a few days just eating (healthy) sushi and drinking water, that alone made me drop a lot of weight over the few days. Of course when I went back to my bad habits, the weight came back on!
I used to have double lunches and double dinners, makes me feel sick just thinking about those large servings I had times two. I'm glad I don't eat like that anymore!
Great tips, Jamie! How has your weight been doing since?

i'm not gonna weigh myself right now, i know it's too much and i know that low carb diet is the only thing that really works for my body type. a bad flu at the wrong time ruined all my effort earlier in this year. recovering took way too much energy, and i didn't have enough energy to cook...
if you ask the traditional chinese doctor, there is only one remedy for overweight, and that is to cut out carbs from your diet. first of all, the rice and all other grains. if you are good at limiting your calorie intake, oatmeal can be permitted for breakfast though. according to western experts.
fruit is a fiend. in norwey we learn to eat "five a day". they say both fruit and vegetables are equally good, but that's not true. fruit sugar is evil. eat four different vegetables, and make the fifth something that is high in kalium or atnioxidants. pretty much means a half cup of berries or a banana. other fruits really only give a nice sugar rush. fruit juices are a terrible choice too.
vegetables, fish and meat is the best diet ever, in this order of prioritization. eating half of it raw helps a lot too.
healthy sushi doesn't exist by the way. sushi is by definition marinated rice (marinated in a mix of rice vinegar, sugar and salt). the fish is just an extra, so are any vegetables. raw sliced fish and meat is really healthy though, and is called sashimi. well, as longas it's fresh, and the fish must be purely salt water fish. fresh water fish will give you tapeworms if you're lucky, and much more deadly parasites if unlucky.

I've seen restaurants in America slather their sushi in copious amounts of cheese and sauce, some sushi rolls were even deep-fried in tempura batter - yuck! It looks like one could have a heart attack just by looking at it. By healthy sushi, I mean one that isn't slathered in copious amounts of cheese, sauce or deep fried - "Americanized", I should say haha. Drowning sushi in soy sauce just doesn't appeal to me either, my American friends were shocked that I was thoroughly enjoying my "bare" sushi without any side sauces. I guess traditional should have been the more appropriate term to use rather than healthy.
I like my sushi as if they are traditionally made, they are far more likely to be the healthier alternative than American-style sushi.
Cutting out any sort of food groups completely (including carbs) isn't good although I understand if someone cannot lose weight without cutting out carbs completely, only they know what is best for their body and their lifestyle. Everything in moderation... as they say. It's easier said than done though.
The body needs carbs as well as all the essential food groups needed for energy. There are better alternatives available like wholewheat and wholegrain. For example, switching from white rice to brown rice is supposed to be beneficial.

I can honestly say I have never seen sushi with copious amounts of cheese and, much as I like cheese, the idea kind of grosses me out. Sushi and maki have a certain texture and taste to them that I think would be ruined by cheese. A tiny bit would be ok, but definitely not copious amounts. I don't really worry that much about dieting for the purpose of losing weight, but I have gotten into the habit of eating healthier, cutting down on foods with no nutritional value, and making food from scratch rather from a box (I used to be really lazy). This summer, I'm also looking into growing some of our vegetables like lettuce to encourage eating them. I know I'm kind of spoiled, but fresh veggies taste so much better than ones from the grocery store. I don't own scales, so I can't weigh myself.
