Big belly is visceral fat and is the last to go, it comes from sugar and starchy kinda carbs.
Mt easy way of stopping sugar was to just not buy it anymore and then reading the labels of processed foods to keep the level of added sugars to a minimum.
You can still and should have healthy fats in your diet, being mindful of excess cholesterol but also know that most all the cholesterol in your body is self made and you also need it to be healthy.
Odd as that sounds, just be mindful of what type of cholesterol you are getting ion your diet, like eggs have considerably more of the good kind and three four eggs a day have a ton of other things that are good for you.
Recent research shows a link between belly fat and meat, mainly red meat but you also need some of that in your diet, things in moderation are good for you, go over the line and your wasting the benefits of them though.
You can keep the curves and get rid of belly fat, which exercise does very little to get rid of it without stripping the beneficial fat from the rest of the body.
So it is mainly by diet choices that you can get rid of belly fat although it is a long drawn out process but you can get there in a year or so and still have like the fluffy chest fat and buttocks as well.
But simple exercise like walking a mile or two or three a day really helps to whittle away at belly fat, while your legs get the exercise they need and it will make them look better, its really hard on your torso as far as strengthening those muscles which as the belly fat disappears you have the muscles nice and tight to compensate, lifts and smooths out the belly in ways that like doing crunches just won't do.
Making sure you are getting enough of the vitamins and essential minerals is pretty vital and as you get older it makes a huge difference.
Also know that cancer cells need sugar to multiply, so cutting sugars out of your diet is going to make you much less susceptible to cancers, which are always going to be there but its the sugars that cause them to take over and there you go....
Changing up a diet that you like and are used to can be hard but it isn't nearly as hard as getting up and going for long walks and the change and variety that you can play around with makes life just a little less boring, at least it does for me.
All the foods that for years they said were not healthy is pretty much bunk and the selling of sugar as an energy food is total bunk, it replaces the foods that you should be eating and takes them away because sugars need to be burned off first, so eating healthy and still eating sugar is just making eating healthy foods useless, you shit them out before you get the health benefits from them, so stop the sugar intake and things will start to happen, it takes time but you will get there.
Forget about things like ice cream and cakes and even candies and chocolate unless the chocolate is like 90% or better, never ever drink soda pop again, its got so much sugar from high fructose that one can is like eating twenty spoonfuls or more of sugar.
I notice that the fattest people here in the building of obese and old are struggling to carry the case or two of soda and the one of two bags of food to their apts.
