I was browsing blogs using keyword "non binary".
Wow, there are thousands of young people out there who are NB, so many I couldn't see the end of the pages listed.? Like a new generation of youth who aren't afraid to be themselves, and share with the world.
I found it very moving, and to me exciting. I've always thought many more people had non binary feelings than will admit it, and its nice to see the pure honesty in these young people, expressing themselves..

"What the hell am I?" Sometimes this sometimes that but all the time both. That is the question that is always on my mind.
But yeah, it does seem like the younger generation seems to be more comfortable with accepting the non binary role. Maybe because when I was growing up it was either or so pretty much one or the other so I would go back and forth. It is interesting to see how gender is being more and more understood and felt as separate from genitalia. Like they truly get that gender and sexuality are two different things.

I feel like that more and more Jamie.. It fluctuates so much, dependent on so many factors.. Yes, "sometimes this, sometimes that".. It's still very much in my mental state though, than showing physically.. I think until I fix some of these big health issues I have, theres not much room for other things..
I do look forward to a lot though.. I'm just not sure what all that includes in my case.?
If I hadn't confused everyone before, I must have now.?? lol

Not really Mark. Remember this is something that I have been aware of for a long time. To me, the inside is way more important than the outside. And for me it is in a constant state of flux. I really don't have a clue what is in my future either. But does anyone ever really know though? We are dynamic creatures and change is just in our nature. Our self awareness is so much more keen just from being humans.

I have a few young friends who come over, we go fishing together and they have use of my boat whenever they want. The one who is 19 and I have been fishing together since he was 16 and he is like a son to me.I use to talk with him about college and the importance of attending all the time. He was not keen on going but after graduation ,with a big push, he decided to. I told him our boat is yours when you graduate now he has a real goal cause he loves the boat and loves the outdoors.I am not saying that college is not a goal but at his age the boat is something he can see and touch, college is still an unknown journey. He brings his friends over with him ,calls before he comes, and don't really care how I look or what I am wearing. There have been probably 20 different young men with him over time, none have ever been the least disrespectful.I get some funny looks sometimes ,but they all really accept me without a problem which to me is beautiful, as I am always dressed as a woman. The best part is they always want to come back and don't like to leave , and tell stories about their hunting and fishing exploits. The fact that they accept me as who and what I am is amazing, these are a group of kids from pretty hardcore country backgrounds that can acknowledge a persons right to be different.I could go on but I am sure you received my point. I am the first transgender person they have met face to face and its like OK when are we going fishing ? They give me hope for our future. Patty

Good report Patty, it does seem as if a pretty good segment of the younger generation is catching on. Most kids learn some good things from their parents and the smart ones are able to pick through those things about their parents that they detest and refuse to replicate them in their own lives. Couple that with PC attitudes and it seems to be working!

The point of my long rant about 'trans enough'. It is nice to see the honesty of young people expressing themselves. Many of them have moved beyond the old concept of a trans umbrella and they just are. They have taken out the politics and religion, they ignore the religious political landscape and they live on their terms. They know who they are, they don't accept the old concepts. They are making their own paths, their own version of the forest. Redefining what gender is, redefining their own freedoms of choice. Ativan

I look at these young men so full of promise and life and drift back in my mind to where I was at their age.For some it was waiting for my induction date, for others I had already reported, and for a few I was already in hell and just wishing I was home and trying to make the best of it and stay alive. Random musings of the senior (oldest) member here, all of this is so really like my own thinking and warped old person personality. Wouldn't it be great if we could put ourselves in the dryer for 10 minutes; come out wrinkle-free and three sizes smaller? Last year I joined a support group for procrastinators. We haven't met yet! The day the world runs out of wine is just too terrible to think about! I don't trip over things, I do random gravity checks! I don't need anger management. I need people to stop pissing me off! Old age is coming at a really bad time! When I was a child I thought Nap Time was a punishment, now as a grown up it just feels like a small vacation! The biggest lie I tell myself is, "I don't need to write that down, I'll remember it." Shan has CRS Lord grant me the strength to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the friends to post my bail when I finally snap! I don't have gray hair. I have "wisdom highlights". I'm just very wise. My people skills are just fine. It's my tolerance to idiots that needs work. Teach your daughter how to shoot, because a restraining order is just a piece of paper. If God wanted me to touch my toes, he would've put them on my knees. The kids text me "plz" which is shorter than please. I text back "no" which is shorter than "yes". I like my middle finger best because it always sticks up for me! When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"? I've lost my mind and I'm pretty sure my kids took it! Even duct tape can't fix stupid, but it can muffle the sound! Why do I have to press one for English when you're just gonna transfer me to someone I can't understand anyway? Lord, Give me patience and give it to me now Of course I talk to myself, sometimes I need expert advice. Oops sorry sometimes I roll my eyes out loud! At my age "Getting lucky" means walking into a room and remembering what I came in there for.

I am becoming much more bold in my authenticity at some other places, actually more honest to my true self than I ever thought possible. It feels strange, but very refreshing and energizing.. I worry a bit that my wife could stumble into me, even though its online, we know a few of the same people.? My "being out" there is much further along than in our marriage, which I'm taking very slow. If I get outed by someone, it may cause me big troubles.. You here are my support, my "fall back".. I might need you to save me one of these days.? Thats the only reason I know I can risk being me..

That is one reason I don't have Facebook. We are here, Shan says the public stuff can be more concerning to them, that is my experience too.
She caught me wearing eye makeup. It was not a pleasant moment.

As long as the wheel of progress isnt continuously reinvented, they have my blessings. Hopefully the forest remains stable enough to gather harvests & spread seeds of growth. whisper I'm not sure what you mean Whisper.? The non-binary group is majority in college age. The same questions sometime continually come up on forums. I wish new non-binary turning 18 or entering college would be able to learn from the past faster. The recorded non-binary data is always said to be slim. When in fact, it is absurdly large. Binary data is very readilly available and easier to find. Most of the same non-binary information, though already answered on page 2+ of any number of forums, blogs, or fb page. NB have to restate answers more frequently. So much so that each year the new huge influx sometimes seems to bring up mostly resolved concerns. Sometimes renaming things. I was very confused when I went to other forums and found different jargon and them reinventing perspectives found elsewhere. Like genderqueer vs non-binary (androgyne) ive seen at least 15 times, repeated every year practically in some forums, blogs, and such.
