I definitely lost something as I blend in now in a different way. For me, I think it was mainly because I was forced to be as isolated as I was mid-transition.
I don't know how to get back to how I felt in late 2019 and early 2020 or that it's possible. Maybe I would have turned out the same way had the pandemic not happened, but I don't think so.

Most americans feel like they have lost something since 2016 or sometime after that. The rise of the Tea Party was before then and added to the ability of the supposed maga crowd before they were maga, the pity me because nobody listens to me. The republican party has been cultivating this idea that the left and the government have been suppressing the right and rural republicans for years, that the left has somehow taken advantage of rural republicans. I used to live and travel around in western nebraska a lot and everywhere you turned it was John Birchers and propaganda signs all over the place, as if the communist left had somehow made their dirt farmer lives worse. Ronnie Raygun talked about the welfare queens riding around in cadillacs, yet the right could never produce a single shred of evidence that people on welfare were cheating the right out of anything, it was pretty much cheating from both sides and very little of it. Its the same old story of how happy holidays came to be the war on christmas, does anyone remember the soldiers from that war demanding christmas this or that? I just remember the republicans always talking about it being a war for some reason. The supposed suppressed right finally got a voice with trump and life has been on a downhill for all americans ever since, just think about it, the deplorables thought they were going to get something for nothing and they still do... The pre trump days saw the rise of the tea party and guns used by so called patriots, do patriots threaten other citizens of their country? America lost the meaning of patriotism from the gun nuts, they take the 2nd amendment and use it against everyone but themselves. Do you realize that there are no there countries that are as armed as we are and are pointing those guns at each other accusing each other of supposed wrongs and demands that everyone else get in line or else? Its pathetic. The rates of gun deaths is so much higher in this country than even in places we tend to think of as war torn, sure sporadic chunks of death here and there but the overall, we don't like a neighbor we just shoot them.... The right capitalized on the ignorance of people and egged them on, trump and maga influenced the morals and decency out of literally millions of americans on the right, republicans have all of this blood on their hands. And then there was the pandemic, literally hundreds of people died because republicans denied and lied their way through it all and still are. The insurrection and the supposed election stolen although there is no evidence and just wishful thinking of the ignorant and deplorables, they lost the fight and just won't stay down, and they whine and cry demanding to be let back up so they can swing some more. They call names and egg on the fights and yet it is they who are beaten back down again and again, when was the last time they truly won something that the country as a whole benefited from, they want everything to be about their way of life and fuck you everyone else. Well of course the uphill battle for them is going to just get steeper and steeper, the more you are an asshole the less people are going to agree with you let alone help you out. The more trouble you cause the more people are going to cause trouble right back, gone are the days of being a nice person and letting the right get away with their bullshit rotten attitude and destruction of the real american way of life. On one hand everyone feels like they have had enough of giving up something and on the other hand they look at republicans as see the grift and idiocracy of them trying to perform as a legit part of govt. Top ten states that get more tax dollars than they pay out are all but one republican. Top ten states that have the worst healthcare are republican, top ten lowest education are republican, the worst of the worst are always republican. Crime is very much worse in republican states and in major dem cities crime is much lower since trump was overwhelmingly beaten in the last election, the economy is so much better since trump, everything but politics is better. But trump is a huge player and republicans in general are the instigators of everything that needs fixing, republicans have been tearing down the good for decades, trying to blame the left when more often than not, it is rock solid bad legislation from the right. More than ever before the reason we can't have nice things is because of republicans, and americans are not happy and everyone feels like something is missing. What it gone is the optimism that we are on an upward trajectory despite republicans existing and tearing the good down. There is no one thing or even things that are missing, its different for everyone, but one thing is for sure, republicans have ruined even the way of life and optimism of the people of this country, they ruin and even kill everything they touch.

Well there is that too, and I guess that is a part of it.
I didn't really care that much about blending in before then, outside of certain settings.
I don't really like it. It's boring. Worse than that, when I do blend in and people assume I'm a middle aged cishet white woman, they often also assume I'm a Republican, since so many of them vote that way.

That is a thing with republicans, they tend to think the people around them are republican as well. I overhear things in others conversations that are like 'you know what I mean?', and I'm reasonably sure they are talking some right wing BS. Yes it is boring, republicans have managed to ruin the excitement of just living. They are like a constant cloudy day, you look forward to a nice rain storm and you get drizzle, usually all day and then nothing at night. Going out to a bar is boring when you consider they are trying to regulate what brand beer is ok for them to drink and they have opinions about what others drink. It really is boring to realize that no matter where you go the karen republicans are watching and trying to regulate the world around them, usually by just being inconsiderate assholes. But here's the thing, the more you just ignore the ignorant, the more they tend to just go away, when they realize nobody wants to hear their twisted logic from another reality, they scamper off to find someone who will listen to their bullshit. Around here its more republican than dem but the republicans assume everyone is also republican and if not then they tend to talk down to others, so you know they are republican when they do that, as if anyone is actually looking up at them. Republicans tend to talk louder, step heavier with loud footsteps, drive their trucks with louder exhaust, and do the little things that make others notice them.. because they are for all practical purposes, barely worth noticing otherwise. This is the reason they talk as if they are the left behind people, the forgotten ones, the people cheated out of something, the claims of if they just got the same breaks as everyone else, the whiners and cry babies. The rich know this and take advantage of it by implying that somehow they are going to make life better for them. Trumpism. They have evolved into the group of people who want your life to suck as bad as they think theirs has become, but the more they do this, the worse it gets for them, the red states get redder and lack even more things because they don't want to pay taxes and they even claim to not want the benefits of taxes making their lives better, they just refuse and their logic deteriorates to the point of being in a cult like state of mind, lock step against the world around them. They can't stand the thought of being con trolled and yet they are the group of people in this country who are the most controlled, they are their own worst enemy and yet they still blame the world around them and wonder why nobody likes them. They have put up barriers against morality and decency, and make wild claims of being the better people when they bring guns with them everywhere because whatever boogie man they imagine this week is lurking out there ready to make life even worse for them. Their imaginary reality is defined by their constant fears that the sky is falling and its only falling on them. If you are on the path and something is barreling at you, the logical thing to do is to get out of the way, and yet they become the deer in the headlights. They prove their ignorance and illogic every day and justify their existence by congregating together and congratulating each other for being idiots. They fail to realize that they are barreling at each other and yet they defiantly stand in the middle of the road, and when they get run down, the blame game is to try and make the rest of the world the reason they just don't get out of the way. They have little to nothing to offer the rest of the world, just piss and moan about how unfair life is in the middle of a busy road they insist on standing in the middle of. Why anyone would want to be a republican is just beyond me, life has an abundance of things it offers everyone, even the whiners. Don't let the whiners get you down and ignore them, they eventually just go away looking for anyone who will listen as they whine about how life isn't fair.

Looking forward to a weekend of laughing at republicans/maga antics and especially the we don't care if trump is a convict and rapist, as if thats just ok... The lengths of distortion they go through to try and convince people that trump is the best candidate, Joe Biden really doesn't have to do much because trump whines enough for everyone. Old Shitinpants and serial flatulant bad makeup and worse haircut dude just has nothing going for him, its all about himself and he offers nothing to his supporters. He's old, wears diapers old, farts mcDonald stale farts, still lies virtually all the time, never did build a wall or even a fence because Mexico was never going to pay a dime for the useless thing, and lets not forget the over million people who dies from Covid because he wanted you to inject bleach, how he disses the military and veterans, how he blames everything that goes wrong on everyone else as in fake news or rigged this and that as if he hasn't or couldn't do anything wrong, he is a failed businessman, a crooked politician, a basically worthless human being, good for nothing because he can't do a thing other than take his supporters money, even the rich are laughing at the the old fuck. It's far more than just a thing to shake our heads at, its simply disgusting and his maga supporters are in dire need of mental medical attention because they are the ones in this actual reality that are deranged. I have a idea that somehow the reality that they and the donald came from is an actual alternate reality that has somehow bleed over into our reality, we need to close the gap where that leak is, but on the other hand, we can leak over in to that reallity and fuck with them all we want, they have no idea what they are doing anyways, so fuckign with them is a weekends worth of good humor for those of us who know their time here has come to an end anyways.

COVID-19 is killing Trump supporters by the hundreds each day SemDem, author by SemDem Community Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 6:25:12p CST 545 Comments 545 NEW
Recommend Story 713 Share HOUSTON, TEXAS - SEPTEMBER 14: Houston Fire Department paramedics transport a man suffering from breathing difficulties to a hospital on September 14, 2021 in Houston, Texas. The man, 47, had been released from a hospital only days after coming down with Covid-19. Harris County in Texas continues to see large number of Covid-19 hospitalizations due to the Delta variant surge in the state. (Photo by John Moore/Getty Images) Former New York Times journalist Donald G. McNeil Jr. wrote an article on Medium that stated what everyone with an ounce of intelligence already knows, but wouldn’t dare put in print: Not only is Donald Trump losing hundreds of voters each day to COVID-19, their deaths are already surpassing the margins the GOP can possibly hope to attain in the swing states. Maybe it seems ghoulish to post the political ramifications to a human life, to which I reply that Democrats aren’t the ones killing these people—their own right-wing disinformation machine is. Hell, we are trying to save them despite the political ramifications.
Trumpists simply don’t believe in wearing masks, or social distancing, and are so anti-vaxx that they won’t even listen to Trump himself as he tries to tout the vaccines. GOP leaders are also undermining public health directives aimed at protecting their own people. Trump did have a change of heart about promoting the vaccines only because someone impressed upon him that the deaths are his voters. He really needs as many as possible in 2024, but it’s too late—and it’s getting worse.
Multiple studies from the AP, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and even Texas’ health services have shown that the deaths are almost entirely among the unvaccinated, and most of these individuals identify as Republican. The profile of a typical COVID-19 victim is now an older unvaccinated person who is obese and lives in a rural area, far from a hospital. In other words, lots of common ground with a Trumper. Obviously, this has already had a major political impact.
McNeil did the math:
As of this week, about 1,800 Americans a day are dying of Covid; the C.D.C. expects that number to rise above 2,600. Virtually all are adults. If 95 percent were unvaccinated and we assume that 75 percent of those were Trump supporters, that’s 1,300 to 1,900 of his voters being subtracted from the rolls every single day.
Donald Trump lost Arizona by a mere 10,000 votes. He lost Georgia by 12,000, He lost Wisconsin by 21,000. He lost Nevada by 33,000. Right now, about 60 Arizonans, 36 Georgians, 34 Wisconsinites and 14 Nevadans are dying of Covid each day. Seventy five percent of 95 percent of that would be minus 103 Trump voters per day — just in those four swing states. Week after week. That adds up.
The hospitals here in Florida are at the breaking point. The state broke the record with 430,297 cases last week. Also, Florida deaths rose from 184 the previous week to 470 just last week, the most since early November. Gov. Ron DeSantis is so far gone that he is arguing that Trump was too sane and honest about COVID-19 and should have ignored it even more than he did.
At this point I reiterate that Trump has not even tried to expand his base, and he is going into 2024 much weaker than he was in 2020. He is no longer the incumbent, his mental state has been called into question, and his supporters have never trusted elections less. Then there’s the small matter of the insurrection attempt to overthrow the government that has turned off quite a few people, which has now become his legacy. On top of all of this, the GOP has officially become a death cult. The data is in: The stronger a state’s support for Trump was in 2020, the higher the COVID-19 infection rate for that state.
People of color were, at one point, less likely to get the vaccine, but that has been changing. The only people going in the other direction, trend-wise, have been white Republicans. They have fallen further and farther into the anti-vaxx conspiracy, among other kinds of conspiratorial thinking. It’s shocking how far down the rabbit hole they fall. Every day, Kos posts a daily column on COVID deaths here on Daily Kos from anti-vaxxers who start out posting snarky memes, but then always end up running to the hospital when they get sick. Even after suffering in unbearable pain, many of them cling to the disinformation that is making them suffer as they breathe their final breath.
A medical worker tends to a patient who has Covid-19 in a negative pressure room in the ICU ward at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester, Massachusetts on January 4, 2022. - The hospital claims that they are overflowing with patients and dont have many beds left if any. According to state data Massachusetts currently has 2,221 hospitalizations of covid patients with 402 in ICU rooms and 245 intubated. (Photo by Joseph Prezioso / AFP) (Photo by JOSEPH PREZIOSO/AFP via Getty Images) The articles always seem to end the same: with a GoFundMe page begging for money, followed almost immediately by an obituary. It’s a very cruel death, and one that is completely unnecessary. Every one is also a vote for Trump and the Republican agenda that is forever lost. The GOP knows this, which is why they made protecting voter suppression their top priority. It’s really all they have.
Of course, if the GOP were smart, they would promote the vaccine as much as we do. A simple jab would save them from an untimely and painful death. Many, however, will follow their right-wing messiahs right off the cliff. Ironic that if Trumpists really wanted to “own the libs,” they would do everything in their power to keep from getting sick so they could vote. As a moral human being, I feel obliged to remind them of this so they can stay alive, but I will have absolutely no guilt when they choose not to listen.

The guest count was even rocking around 600 a few months back, its been over 300 for maybe 6 months now. I look at the topics and see which ones are being viewed sometimes, even older ones are being looked at. I have no real idea why the guest counts started going up and have stayed up. But its nice to see. You know a lot of things like stuff being viewed is because of bots, right? Susans had a high number of views and half of them were bots, she tracked them for some reason. Whats more interesting to me is the current at any given time guest count, thats been higher than usual as well. I think that the more people realize that republicans are a total loser paper tiger they are less afraid of speaking out and have less fear of them being able to affect anyones lives. Which stands to reason because they have nothing, what have they really done other than piss and moan for the last four years? The country is realizing that we would be so much better had trump never been elected, so much so that the fear that he will be elected again is depressing as hell but it ain't going to happen. Think about it, he has to overcome that 7 million voted he was beat with the last election and he is now a convicted felon and rapist, people are so sick of the fear mongering and so sick of do nothing republicans. Its a even steeper mountain to climb than 2020, the only thing they have are the people who are still so ignorant that they still believe the left is the bad, when everything points solidly at the right which has done nothing but gotten more useless. Any and all minorities of any kind in this country are still pressured by the right but the right has not done a damn thing to make life better for them or for themselves, its a sick puppy of a political party. So all the suppressed by the right people are losing their fear of the right and even the right is waking up to the fact that fear is the only thing they have and like everything else the right has touched, they fooked that up as well. You just watch, even FL is going to the left again, TX is on its way, the entire country is stopping and thinking that we were great before, before trump and the deplorables messed it up. Oh well, we can just make it greater and leave the maga maggots in the dust where they were under those rocks they crawled out from under. It's becoming fashionable and more importantly profitable for the lame stream media to report nt on the middle of the road but the reality of the right are losers, have always been losers and will always be loser.

I hear that the temps are on the high side for most people, midwest to east coast. I'm in the midwest but I'm over the line where its hot. Also there have been total road closures and flooding in MN, but not here, I'm in between in fact its been less rain than predicted. We're actually a little on the cool side and have been mostly below normal tempwise but it has been wetter than usual. Seriously, the media is making it sound like the country has turned into a dystopian wasteland but it is hot in places, could be worse, but then it could be better just the same. Worst thing is that republicans are still thinking that trump is going to win because they want that boot on their necks to keep themselves in their place. But thats the lack of advertisers talking, they are pumping up the exaggerations to sell their news, trump is already lost and it shows in the desperation of the right wing news and trumps delusional slant. Even if Biden does just wander off somewhere, trump is still a loser and will be the loser and republicans are so far over the cliff that there is no coming back, as if the country would let them anyways.
