I started progesterone last Saturday night. Still don'e know if that made me sick, or if I have a virus.
I keep waiting for my chronic anxiety to hit.
Where did it go... and my breasts seem fuller a little.
I feel no change in my nonbinary identity. No push to female. Just feel normal. Normal dysphoria about my hair, but that's all in my head.
Evidently on high dose estrogen it is recommended to be on progesterone for mood stabilization and to eliminate estrogen dominance, which causes mtf problems.
Of course, your boobs getting bigger is a nice plus... Could get me to a 36B or even 36C some day. Still easy to hide for me with this wide chest cavity.
I doubt anyone on this forum is on progesterone. Actually, I think I am the only one except River that is on full transition HRT.
Anyway, I thought I'd post it. Its supposed to lower anxiety levels.
And maybe it is.

I should mention its low dose topical oil- progesterelle- over the counter. I'm not planning on high dose. It should grow my bangs in.

For what it's worth, I'm on a fairly high dose, 2x100mg/day. The changes I noticed were: Emotional/mental: felt a lot more settled and stable. Physical: growth of the inferior mass of my breasts (below the nipple - basically my breasts had looked in profile like they were laying on a shelf) and development of my nipples and aerolae.

Any thoughts to if it would work for hair regrowth if one isn't on HRT? I've been using Nizoral dandruff shampoo for the last few months. It supposedly, from some hair loss forums, removes DHT at the surface level. It's hard to tell if it has any effect other than drying out my already damaged from dyeing too much hair out even more and causing more breakage.

It does change levels in the blood and i dont know how that would feel. Thought you wrre going low dose hrt?

Well it seems getting in an informed consent clinic is a bit difficult, too many people wanting it. I could go the therapy route I suppose, though I have my reasons for avoiding that. I've avoided rogaine because side effects primarily increased body hair growth and the possibility of it having the opposite effect and increasing hair loss. My hair loss is relatively minor at this point, mainly just thin on top, but is something that makes me dysphoric, and the idea of where it might be 5-10 years from now scares me.

Progesterone is pretty powerful in its own right. It would help your hair. I have no idea how it would affect the rest of you or long term breast development.

I see my doc next week and I'm gonna ask him for it. I doubt he'll do it but gonna try anyways. Hey there Dreamy Progesterelle is over the counter on amazon, topical, typical dose is a half dropper on the scalp. So no script. Oral or injections i beleive are prescription. When ypu come off ot your boobs might flatten out and "go south". I wont be coming off it. Also an erection seems kind of hopeless right now for me. It wasnt easy to have one before. Now its like....nah.

Hi there Trinity I've definitely heard from others that it helps our girls grow and mature and that's primarily why I wanna try it. I feel like mine look kinda just like lumps on my chest and I don't like that, it bothers me. Hoping doesn't do that last thing u mentioned tho..

Up the estrogen hormone level and get off of spiro, and stay away from finesteride too.
Spiro interferes with breast growth and puts fat on the stomach inside around the intestines. Better to get off it if you can.
Talk about it....

To the top....
For the top lol
Dropped to 100mg from 200mg. Feel sharper today, could be that. Docs want me off it, but have no good data for me for why, they still do spiro, old school hrt.
Only game in town maybe, not sure. Tempted to switch docs.
Gatekeepers. First set had no idea about NB and HRT, second set, oh, I could just go on and on and on.

Yep, even my old doc and that whole place, they wrote up the standards of care, but they still work the old ways in there, but they at least let me make my own decisions. There is always going to be that question in their mind, because there isn't any real data out there that is enough of a sample to be reliable, they want more proof. But the proof is in how any one of us wants to live, it's like a diet, there is no one way that is right for everyone, and there is always more to getting to the goal. But look for that hidden data that is out there, turn over the stones and find it, if there isn't any, then they are basing their decisions on the wrong data because it is based on something else, someone else. One of the things that is always there for trans, all of it, no matter what it is, is being used off label, there is no real trans meds, drugs, even therapy is sketchy. Because they are prescribing something that they don't have the same level of trials with that they can reference, they will be winging it just like every trans person using whatever to try and make life better. You have to be your own lab rat and find out what is going to right for you, you can find good and bad advice and also find out what the usual is, but that is just the usual and we are all unusual.
