Hey, friends! I need your help. My friend is considering a transgender cosmetic surgery. The problem is not the cost. She is financially stable and can afford it. She is very curious about the success rate of the surgery. Since this is not a common surgery, I cannot find the needed information while researching. And people may not feel free to discuss this in detail. Which surgery is highly preferred? Keyhole Mastectomy procedure or double incision mastectomy?

You obviously did not research hard enough because there is a huge resource of top surgery information out there on the Internet.
The success rate? Really???
It's not a common surgery? Really???
People may not feel free to discuss this in detail? Really???
Register an account with transbucket and you will see it is widely successful with over hundreds of patients who have had top surgery done. Look on YouTube, Reddit, Transgender FB groups and other transgender forums, you will find plenty of open discussion about it.
As for which surgery is highly preferred, you would be able to find this out had you googled top surgery FTM or mastectomy FTM. Almost always, the first link would show the Hudson FTM Guide and it highlights the specifics of each procedure.
Since you clearly did not see the pinned link in the FTM section, I have outlined the FTM Top Surgery procedures.
For example, I wanted keyhole but I was not able to get it, due to having large breasts and was given double incision.
If your friend is transgender FTM, you should be using "he" pronouns, not "she" pronouns. You didn't do any research at all because if you did research, you would have found your answer right away.
If I sound harsh, it is because this is not the first time a person has posted a commonly asked question with a link to the exact same Canadian website, only to never post again - the hallmarks of every other spambot that has come through here. It certainly won't be the last.

Yeah kinda prickly for our Jacey! There was a time I was considering doing the same when having thoughts of de-transitioning, so what concerns me is that the OP didn't identify whether they were referring to an MtF or FtM friend. There are sites that discuss the removal of man-boobs (Gynecomastia) and some of the procedures there seemed rather gruesome and left scarring when the gland was actually augured out from under the nipple. There is no difference really, and whoever it is enquiring should refer to the sites you suggest without regards for the birth gender of their friend. You are right, there is loads of information on women's breast removal surgeries.

Shan Slightly off topic. But I went ahead and had a double breast reduction. While it bought me some time to further explore my identity, it was emotionally rather than physically traumatic i.e. Nothing like the trauma of ffs The downside was some discomfort and then finding that I couldn't deny that I was trans and couldn't pick and choose the impact of hrt. The nipples were insensitive for quite some time but the nerves and the breasts have since recovered Best Aisla
