I haven't really been thinking about gender much lately. I've been pretty busy with other things. It's kind of better when I am.

I haven't really been thinking about gender much lately. I've been pretty busy with other things. It's kind of better when I am. Yeah its like a non issue with me.
Had a call today getting ready for my esophageal biopsy, and they asked about my gender, confirming female.
I just said yes that's correct I am trans.
Total non issue. Like, normal for them.

Even the technical side of it with chromosomes is no guarantee that you are different when it comes to being taken care of by a Dr or the like. It's at best a loose way of determining some things that have to do with a persons sex, but gender is a different thing and the only thing they need to worry about is getting the preferred designations right. But getting to the point of gender being a non issue for yourself at least most of the time is the way to go. You accept your gender and stop worrying over it and how it works socially, but then I never wanted or tried a different presentation myself socially. Sure it matters sometimes depending on how I feel at the moment by myself or with anyone who it doesn't matter with, sometimes different gendered clothes makes a difference in how a person feels. But the overall constant thinking it over and over and the what ifs of it all, just getting out of that kind of thinking and not stopping to consider how you are feeling at the moment is a big deal. Its like the awareness of gender is one thing, but the constantness of that awareness gets to you at a certain point and interferes with the normal day to day functioning. I'm much calmer and in a much better mood when I don't think it over and just know this is how I am feeling and responding. All in all it isn't like one gender is all that much different than another gender and since it is what it is, letting it stay in the background and not having that speculation moment is pretty freeing. Let it be.

Not great.
My dad died yesterday. Thankfully I was able to go over to see him one more time the other week, and spend some time with him. And at least he didn't suffer for too long and isn't in pain or discomfort any more.
And then, on Tuesday I should be starting a new job. Which is exciting and a little scary.
Meanwhile, I have some pills and a wife and a decision still not fully made.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father about a year ago. Thinking about him a lot.
