Last week there were elections in the Netherlands and I could vote on a candidate who is unclear on how they identify. It may be non-binary, it may be lesbian, it may be just queer. I think it's absolutely awesome that I could vote on this candidate. They're from a small party, PvdD (Party for the Animals), and now I'm waiting for the final results, if they're able to go into the Chamber. What is clear yet, is that for the first time a transgender candidate will be in the Chamber.
I feel lucky that I could vote on someone who I really feel like they're going to represent me
(but apart from this the results are a bit sad for the extreme right parties have won a lot...)
