I found this thread when I joined this forum, but at the time I was so upset I didn't have any good ideas what to share here - but I think it's a good idea to collect positive nonbinary-related stuff, so let's revive this thread! I am trying to be more myself when I'm alone (or if only my partner is around, this counts too for me, lol) so there is no one who would irritate me. What I do then: - listening to all kinds of music that fit my mood, no matter how weird - singing/humming - making weird noises (my psychiatrist had the idea that I should try this to lower my stress levels and it works!) - playing with my voice pitch - watching nb/trans youtubers - talking to my cats as if they would understand anything I tell them - reading nb/queer literature (when I'm through with what I'm reading right now, I'll write a short review for you, most of the books I read are english <3) Other helpful stuff appears to be everything I've learned from my therapies that works against depression. I think gender issues can lead to similar feelings so it makes sense that these things work here, too: - baking - no. 1 antidepressant that is easy to do, just make your favourite cake or whatever and share it with loved ones or eat it alone if you want - going outside for a walk - taking a hot bath and trying to be gentle and loving to my body (which can be hard, but it can be trained, I need to do that more...) - playing board games or card games with nice people - spending time with animals, playing with your pet or watching birds or meet animals outside (in my neighborhood, there are pet chickens and if I take a longer walk some horses) well, writing these down I think I should do some of it more often, it really is helpful for me.
