I was able to go to one of my old trans support meetings in NYC via zoom tonight and I was shocked at how many folk were there that identified as nonbinary.
OUt of 32 people, I think maybe one or two were binary trans.
It was interesting, seeing everyone face to face. I wonder if the zoom meetings are replacing the forums.
Kind of rocked me back a little.
Most of the people were not visually representing their gender, or maybe they were, but the bottom line was what was going down with them and the stuggles they were overcoming.
But it was a very young crowd (to me) and it seriously, anything goes, no judgement, just free to be themselves.
Amazing.
Anything goes. How free do you feel you are to blow away the matrix?

The matrix to me is the most stifling way to see life, it is not real and should never be taken as having anything to do with reality, its more the fallback for those who want everyone to be uniform so they can tell who is who and that way stay safely secure in knowing they are devout matrix beings stuck in this never ending loop of mediocrity.

I wish I had the anything goes attitude younger people have. I mainly just go back and forth between the binary, though I push the line on what's acceptable. I usually am either presenting as a masculine trans woman, or a feminine guy. I never really have been able to read as a masculine guy or a feminine woman, and I probably never will. Definitely never will now on the masculine guy.

Hopefully, the acceptance of gender non-conformity by Gen Z will become the new normal in the next 10-20 years as they take their place in our economy and society. I also love how androgyny is now a fashion statement. It signals a wider acceptance of ambiguous genders. It reminds me a little of the glam-rock era in the mid-1970s, but more widespread.
