Something really positive happening against the broader backdrop of the wider church continuing to devalue, reject and endanger lgbtq+ people... One of our (relatively) local churches, where some friends go, is leaving vineyard canada due to their stance against lgbtq+ inclusion, affirmation and celebration.
Obviously beyond sad that certain church organizations perpetuate this archaic, anti-love position, it is so wonderful and encouraging to know that there are lovely people, allies and lgbtq+ people, in perhaps not the most obvious of places.
They are inviting people to become honorary members (with absolutely no obligations), to show solidarity, and belief in a God who loves all, or a church that should - or both.
