Last evening I rewatched "A Fantastic Woman" SPOILER ALERT. The movie's been in release for over 2 years, so I'm hoping some or all who wished to, have seen it?

The opening love is done so very well. The last time was when it made the rounds of artistic theaters, like here in Minneapolis. I saw it at the Uptown. The theater's come a long way from when I first saw a picture there in the early 80's. The film goes quickly toward the missteps of uninformed cops and relatives. The dead naming, forcing her to be photographed naked, and discounting their love. I'm always a romantic for movies about deep love. Then adding in the marginalized life of the character Marina makes it for me. She's showing self determination throughout, and her singing must be where a lot of that arises? The club scene and visions are awesome. All of it works for me. I crumble to the strength presented.
Well, then this morning, I'm a bit down. It's my wife again, but I should know, and expect it. Be ready. Alas, I'm weak, and this morning I'm just too tired and feel unworthy.
I looked for something to watch again, not knowing what I might settle for? I've watched a lot of Anime recently. It's a good distraction. I've seen so many movies, I find it hard to find ones I'll not have seen, or are good enough for what I would like? I'm a bit heartsick, so, when I saw an original Scrooge, I thought that would be OK. It was with Seymour Hicks as Scrooge. I'm glad it was a short film, and it was good as an old black and white that was coloured. I liked it. In fact, I cried many times.
Ok, gotta get ready for work. Hope all are well.
