He seemed knowledgeable, experienced and affirming. He says that estrogen should help me with my feelings and will change my sexual response. I may have less interest in erections and ejaculation. He says a lot of his trans women were depressed before starting HRT but afterward needed less antidepressants or none at all. I am optimistic. Actually my major depression went away over a year ago, not long before I identified as genderqueer, but it will be nice if this step provides me some protection against recurrence.
