24 Surprising Physical Symptoms Of Anxiety One of the disorders I have, nothing weird, just have them, a lot of people do, it's pretty common. Anxiety is different for each person, the symptoms have a broad range and if you have enough of them, you get pegged as having it. These are constant symptoms for the most part, long term, maybe a lifetime. I actively resist my symptoms, have learned my own tricks that usually help, if not, it's like a crushing weight, more than the depression one, it adds to it. But I thought this was at least interesting, and there's more on the bottom that I didn't get into, not today anyways.

I've had people say I don't experience panic attacks solely because it didn't fit the typical narrative of 'hyperventilating and rocking back and forth'. I shut down, stare, lose a lot of verbal communication, sometimes cry - silently or screaming, depending on how severe. My chest hurts, I can't breathe... sometimes my fingers go numb! Or I'll get the leg shakes. It's a mixed bag.
It's interesting - my partner's new phone can take your pulse by resting a fingertip on a sensor it has. He did this to me a few days ago while I was in full-on freak out mode. My "resting" ie sitting BPM was about 99. Wheeeeee

Wheeeeee When I have the shutdowns I get due to being autistic, I can't talk sometimes. You sound kind of similar to me in some ways. I think I've only ever had one panic attack, though. My husband used to get panic attacks. He didn't even know what it was when they first started happening He described it as feeling really dizzy and sick. Luckily he hasn't had any in a while. I think everyone's panic attacks are a little different.
