My first phone I got was yo regular Nokia 3310 brick that I used to love playing Snake on. After that, I became a huge fan of Motorola KRAZR K1 Black, it was super sleek!! I tried Blackberry for awhile (Blackberry Curve 8310 & Blackberry Bold 9790) then I tried Motorola Droid Razr which was the first touchscreen smartphone I'd gotten. I had this one the longest. I did buy a Motorola Droid Razr 4 with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard but sadly, since it was an American phone, I found out the hard way that it wouldn't work with Australia's service providers. I brought a iPhone off Gumtree but go figure, it was a brick'd one so when I did a hard reset, I found out it was also an American iPhone. LOL so it became useless. I ended up getting a Samsung Galaxy S4 but it died 1-2 years later, the motherboard just up and died on me.
I currently have a Samsung Galaxy S5, although I'm thinking of switching to iPhone 7/8 because the bloatware slowing down the Samsung is ridiculous (I don't even have that many apps which I think is a total cop-out) and I've heard good things about iPhone processor speed. Plus, I like that iPhone, you can adjust the blurring focus on the camera. I know the S8 has the same thing but I'm kinda over Android at this stage - I DO like the customisation, I installed a launcher and brought a handwritten font so it looks unique to my own tastes rather than just gross factory default settings so that's something I will be sad to see gone if I do go ahead with getting an iPhone. Plus, I have an iMac and iPad so it just seemed fitting to have an iPhone to sync all the stuff together. (and yeah, I've seen the image floating around that iPhone X is a less impressive version of Galaxy S6, I'm not really sold on the iPhone X, I think the way the back camera juts out just drives me batty and it'd be too expensive to get right away. The Animojis look fun though.)
What about you? What was your first phone? What was your favourite? What phone do you have currently? What future improvements do you see happening to phones? What would you like to see?
I'm still amazed at just how many changes technology has gone through with just phones alone. And in this case, it keeps me connected with you all
