I had concerns about my results from SRS - I still have considerable numbness and orgasms are incredibly difficult to achieve plus are not remotely satisfying (orgasms were easily achieved and fantastic before SRS, up to the day before.)
I contacted my surgeon about my concerns and this was the response: "the sensation has usually come back completely after 2 years. It is still possible to have an improvement but unlikely. Orgasms can be difficult sometimes and a great deal of self-exploration. Further surgery cannot improve this function."
So, basically, "sucks to be you; try to have a nice life in spite of it" and I don't know how to deal with this - I needed to not have this result and I had a lot of assurances from my providers before SRS that I wouldn't with this surgeon.
Right now, I'm just in tears and trying to cope with the pain in my heart. The strand of hope to which I clung is now gone. I need to grieve this and find a way to move on with my life.

Hi honey, sorry you are having to deal with this! I'm curious though, I had offered some advice regarding using a tiny amount of T cream to boost the libido and potential for orgasm, did you ever try that?

I've talked to my HRT doc about it; they're opposed to the idea.

I've talked to my HRT doc about it; they're opposed to the idea. That's pretty odd because my endocrinologist said it was a great idea because cis women have a certain low level of testosterone which is in fact produced by their ovaries for the very sake of a normal sex drive and orgasm. Those women who have had hysterectomies or are post menopausal are routinely given a little for that purpose. For several years I had no libido following surgery as my T levels were below that of a natal female. The doctor said that so many trans women fall for the idea that any testosterone is synonymous with poison and so it's no wonder they aren't capable of any sex life whatsoever. Once I decided to use a small amount of T cream .05 ml for several days prior to a sexual encounter, everything turned around and I was able to have an orgasm and enjoy sex again and it had absolutely no adverse effect on my feminizing HRT. I think your doctor isn't giving you all the facts and may not know for sure themselves. I've told you what works, got my advice from a VA endocrinologist who works with both cis and trans women at VA and in his private practice and I'm passing it on to you as a for real fact that I myself experience.

I am so sorry DCW. That it the main reason why I don't want SRS. I can be a female without it. I can have orgasms even though nothing "cloudy white" comes out. It's clear but OMG. This is natural for me. Not even HRT. But it feels really good and just keeps coming.
As for your doctor. That really sucks. I wish they would go through all the side effects before you make the decision. OMG they know them all and they could say something. I'm sorry hon and really hope in a couple of years you can have the big O.
