You can change the forum theme! How did I not know this? There are such nice options, too. Right now I've changed it to Spring. What theme do you folks use? Can't believe I didn't realize this before.

Aha yes! I forgot to pin that thread last year/year before but the announcement thread for forum themes is here, it also tells you how to change it I don't know if all the plug-ins are applied to all themes so will have to look into it later. nonbinary.proboards.com/thread/173/new-forum-themes-addedBut that must've been a nice surprise! I would like to make my own custom theme specifically for this forum one day If you find any custom themes you'd like on this forum, let me know and I can add it to the list!

I am not sure which version of ProBoard we use but: I would love some darker theme options. The bright ones hurt my eyes. I work on my computer 14 - 16 hours a day and I try to keep things dark. Suggestions: Night rising (by Smangii) v1.0.0Something Dark Theme v1.4.3LAND (by Smangii) v1.0.0
Blue Ninja Theme v1.1.9

I love the look of this one, I'll install this one asap (recovering so a bit sluggish now, but Goth are dark coloured). I am liking the dark themes as the bright ones hurt my eyes as well. EDIT: Ok I installed Something Dark and PB Classic + Dark themes. Its a pity they don't come up on mobile version on smartphone, they switch back to the standard version. But if you're using it on desktop, it should be fine

Going to check out their developer documentation and see what I can come up with. Maybe something dark that's geared towards our community

Not forum related but have you tried using f.lux on your computer? It changes the hue on your screen based on the time of day, but I set I up so it had the more reddish hue 24/7. It helped my eyes so much! I got used to it enough that I could still do art and it didn't affect my view of colors or anything. But it sits on your start bar so if you ever do need to turn it off for a sec to see what something looks like without it on, it's easy. And after looking it up because I couldn't remember the name, I see there is something similar for android called twilight. I'm downloading that now. Lol

Lol i once bought some gaming glasses. i should look for them again, can't remember where i last put them. the light from a pc screen is actually really blue, and after using those glasses for a while, i could actually see the blueness of pc white when i didn't use them. orange is the rightest hue to go for, cancels out the blue best. but it's not wrong to use red either, would just make you sleepier in the evening.

And after looking it up because I couldn't remember the name, I see there is something similar for android called twilight. I'm downloading that now. Lol I've been using f.lux for quite awhile now, getting the blue out is nice, even better in the evening by turning it more orange It really helps to keep my eyes from being bothered by so much 'white' all the time that is tilted to blue. I can change it on my monitors, but having it on screen to adjust as needed is so much easier, especially with two screens. It is nice to be able to shut it off for an hour or just adjust the light values, when I'm doing pics, it matters a lot to have the right color. My monitor is adjusted to match my printer, and it is pretty accurate, too much blue is just as bad as too much orange for that. But I really like that it will turn to the value of orange that you want at sunset, I have mine adjusted to change over an hour. If any of you are having eye strain from your monitor, they have adjustments you can make, f.lux is so much easier and you can see the values that you use. It's one of those little things that does a lot, you won't believe the difference it makes. I played with it for hours, days at first I still adjust it every so often, because I can.
