It is true that having both positive and negative thoughts is healthy and normal. The problem is when our negative beliefs are irrational and become overwhelming. Positive and negative ideas about ourselves and life need to be in balance.

I kinda thrive on the negative thoughts at times, clarity about them only comes from letting them have a share of the thoughts...
I can process them better than I can the good ones, they seem like they are surreal at times and the negative just have deeper roots.
