As an independent, I always wanted to be the swing vote, the tie breaker...
No idea, but a good idea from you imo

Hey people I'm very politically active and recently we were discussing quotas in my party. 'Til now we had a rule that required at least 4/9 seats for both men and women, what made non-binary candidatures only possible on limited occasions. Now, a request for a women's quota was accepted, which requires at least 4/9 seats to be held by women. The other 5 seats are thus now also open for non-binary people, which is a plus. However, I'm not at all happy with the new regulation. It is much less inclusive than a gender quota and simply doesn't conform to the idea of equality (making more representatives for just one specific gender possible doesn't seem too equal). So, a group of friends and want to bring up a request for a gender quota which also empowers nonbinaries. The question is just how it should look. Does anyone have an idea or even some experiences? Thanks in advance for your help! Question: Do they consider transwomen "women" for the purpose of that quota? If not I think it is a sex quota and not a gender quota. My own personal take on it. If you are looking to truly implement a gender quota then I think a more open discussion needs to take place in terms of who you are trying to represent in the party. Again, just my two cents, which isn't worth much lol :hugs: -- Jenn
