I was browsing through old threads and came across some mentions of tattoos, which got me thinking; how many of you have them? What sorts of things are they?
I have three, and I love them; I've got "Love Hope Change" on my wrist, the slogan of an NGO I travelled to Mexico with on a volunteer trip, a barcode with "Not for Sale" on the back of my neck, which is a protest against human trafficking and slavery, and "Expecto Patronum" on my left side/ ribs, which is a spell in Harry Potter, where the caster draws upon happy memories to fend off dementors, which were created as a representation of the author's struggle with depression.
My girlfriend is an artist and is designing a fourth for me, but it's a half sleeve so it will have to wait until I have a bit more cash, haha.

Here are my tattoos. The armband tattoo is a tattoo my original character, Echelon Hunt has. He is one of my characters that I poured a lot of myself into. Basically, he is me, I am him. This was my third and last tattoo (so far) The pentagram tattoo is from TV show, Supernatural, the meaning of it in the show is that it wards against demonic possession. The show, Supernatural, resonated with me on a personal level, it's weird to describe. This was my 2nd tattoo. And a third tattoo that is not visible, it is on my back, just below my nape. It is Flamel symbol that I saw in Full Metal Alchemist. Much like the Supernatural tattoo, I just liked the symbol and the show resonated with me on a personal level. This was my first tattoo and has faded/blurred badly over time due to getting it done by a bikie dude with a shaky hand so I may end up covering this up with something else.

I have 6 tattoos myself! My 1st tattoo is on back of my right shoulder which is of a Scorpio tattoo. So it's got the M symbol for Scorpio, and then scorpion symbols on both sides of the "M" 2nd tattoo is on my left hip and it's a rainbow heart. Basically my cliche pride tattoo haha 3rd tattoo I got which is my absolute favorite tattoo, and holds a lotta meaning to me is of a soul turning into a butterfly, on my inner arm. It's suppose to represent death bringing peace to a broken person, and i got it in memory of my mom. She loved butterflies, so in my tattoo it's a soul turning into butterfly basically symbolizing peace, freedom, and not being held down. 4th tattoo is on my inner back of a sun/moon galaxy. Then my 5th tattoo is of nonbinary Pride heart on my right hip. A heart with purple, white, and green colors then the androgyne symbol on middle. Although I kinda regret this one, but only because of the androgyne symbol in middle. I like that I have 2 Pride hearts on my hips. Then my 6th tattoo is of candy hearts that say "treat yo self " in them. I was looking through my artist's book, and I saw this sketch and I just had to get it because that's my life motto! Like that's how I live my life, I always make sure I treat myself! Although she made this design because she's a parks and rec fan. But whatevs I love it!

I love tattoos but I'm broke as hell, so I'm building my collection very slowly. At the moment this is all I have: Terrible photo lol. The eye was my first tattoo, and I just got it just because I like the motif. "In the blood" is harder to explain. It's tied to a song that was very important to me as a teenager, and relates to my relationship with queerness and androgyny. It's essentially a tangible reminder to myself that these feelings are REAL in my blood so to speak. It was cheap so it's a little wobbly but I actually don't mind? I can be wobbly too lol. I'm designing some flowers to add around it when I have more money. For me personally, tattoos are a way of claiming control over my body. The content of the tattoo is not as important to me as the act of getting the tattoo.

androgyny is in the brain though, when not in the genitals andd gonads, and for me it can only be fixed by adding the male to my blood...
i don't have any tattoos. if i'm getting one, i want it sort of big, and that's just not going to happen yet.
i feel no need to take control of my body, but rather my life. and i'm doing that by getting the papers i need and fixing my own little old house...
painting bedrooms pink is much easier too. and i can change the color whenever i want as wella.
