Inspired by Ativan talking about technology in the eighties I love the joke nowadays that Nokia is like a brick that is indestructible (also, playing snake on that thing was tha bomb!) compared to smartphones today that tend to get cracked screens VERY easily and in the case of the latest Samsung/Iphone literally exploding when on airplanes or on charge... whoops. I still have my old motorola flip phone and charger around, that was awesome. Flip phones should make a comeback! I think virtual reality might become more expansive than it already is. Much like in Psycho-Pass, clothing are holograms that can be simply switched over with a touch of a button. I think we will also be able to have a complete hologram over our entire body and look however we want to look. In the series, rooms are also holograms, they can be changed to any sort of desired setting (e.g. paradise beach, victorian style room, computer room, etc.) I think we will see our lives getting more digital and smaller. Maybe instead of smart glasses (Google Glass anyone?) it might be a contact lens that allows us to see social media, emails, events, reminders, etc. Oh lord, I would not enjoy pop-up advertisements in that scenario. The medical advancement of phalloplasty has been most interesting. I heard one trans guy said he wants to wait until phalloplasty has an option for movable foreskin. It would be interesting to see how things change in the next 10-20 years from now. Unfornately, my dysphoria would not be able to wait that long and luckily enough, the results today are satisfactory to my needs since getting a cis-penis is at this point, unattainable. What do you love/hate about past technology? What do you think about the present technology? Do you have any predictions for the future of technology?

3d holographic entertainment spearheaded bybthecporn industry (sorry this will be dark) total govt control dur to a crackdown on all teligeous oppression, ending in complete transparency, thecworld run my mega corporations controlling us through money and job control, and the devastation of the environment. Bloodbaths cracked down on by corporations and military weaponry that is so smart it will find you.
Dark indeed, and darker still.

Let me load in my 5 1/2 floppy disk in my cutting edge commodore 128... I used to use 8" dual drive floppy's in a Digital* computer. *Digital went out of business primarily because the president of the company didn't believe anyone would want a computer in their home. The computer I used had bay's in the back that you could install analog to digital and digital to analog 'cards'. It turned things on and off, regulated stuff, read analog things and turned it into digital for the computer. I used quite a few of them, to run a test bench for a piece of equipment that could only be run by computer. I had to learn to write basic and wrote the program myself. I used up every bit of space on those old floppy drives. They said it couldn't be done, then they said it was a 'quantum leap in technology' when it spit out more info than they knew what to do with. Then they all wanted computers in their labs... I was such a geek back then, white lab coat and pocket protector... But I wore bib overalls under the lab coat and had my hair tied back even then. They took my tie dyed lab coats away, but music was always jamming in my lab. Still a geek, anyways...

Then the TRS-80 MC 10 with 4kb memory and a cassette tape for storage. Built my own computers from the ground up starting with an XT. Then 8080 286, 386, 486 and finally my current i7 4 monitor 1TB SSD beast lol I do see technology enhancing our everyday activities unlike any other way that has been done before. Contact lenses with a HUD are already in development as well as room based holography. I'm excited for what the short and long term prospects will be :hugs: --Jenn

Saw it off broadway, simple, but we could see it, walk around it. Precurser of what is to come.

I'm old, I remember the 'birth' of Rock n Roll... We were all going to hell for it. FM radio wasn't stereo yet, the first FM station that played 'underground' music after midnight. The Beatles on TV, first step on the moon. The first Led Zeppelin vinyl album, and then the second one because I wore out the first one. Vinyl albums came mono or the new stereo.. My '69 Super Bee with a 440 six pack, orange with a black hood and rear stripe. About 9mpg...

I've seen this show called Black Mirror, which is like twilight zone, but centered around technology, and there's some really weird episodes, but it's so interesting, and creepy at same time. Like one episode was where people would rate each other and it was like society was based off the amount of star ratings someone had, like those who were 4.5 and higher were like the high class people, and those who were very low ratings were treated like how we treat those in poverty today. Then there was another really weird episode where this girl loses her boyfriend, and her friend tells her about a program where you put all the deceased person's data/social media/anything they've posted ever and the program creates them as exactly who they were and you can talk to them and it's like really them, but just an app, but then there was an extra premium thing where they send some android thing that's lifelike and it's like the person is back. It was so weird. But anyways yea after watching that show he makes me look at technology in a different way, but like yea. Umm idk as for how technology goes everything is Definitely going in a more like hand held/wireless devices kinda way! And as much as I like apps, I Also find it sooo annoying how everything has an app and sometimes it's necessary to have an app just to do something because like i don't want A ton of apps eating up my memory on my devices.
