Genuinely curious.
I wouldn't vape nicotine EVER, never! I've seen what that addictive substance has done to my mother - she started smoking when she was in boarding school as a teenager and hasn't stopped since.
I would just vape the flavours they have out there.

I neither vape, or smoke. I mean on occasionally I've gotten myself those black n mild wine flavored cigars, but only once in awhile, and I like that they taste fruity!
I've also smoked weed few times in my life. If anything I'd probably smoke weed more if I had the chance than anything else, but I honestly only smoke if someone offers me some, or if I'm with a friend who smokes & offers me some. Although, I recently found out one my cousins sells, and if I could get my weed connection from family that'd be ideal... still don't know if I should message him though to find out how much. We haven't seen each other since kids so I don't know if that'd be weird? "Ohh heeeyyyy cuz! How ya been? Uhh huuhhh that's awesome! so I see you sell, and I was curious how much you sell for? "

I've smoked weed in the past but only when I was drunk. It was funny because I didn't know if it was the high hitting me or the alcohol. It was probably both. I don't drink much anymore. Last time I did, my friend had a hookah set up. That was fun! Inhaling fruity stuff and exhaling smoke! I never seem to know how to inhale weed properly from the bong thing. It's the same with trying to inhale from asthma puffer (I'm not asthmatic, I've just had one or two instances where I was wheezy.) Get some of that family bonding down pat, catch up on what's been going on in both your lives, then if the subject comes up, casually ask.

Ohh I used to smoke hookah with my friends all the time when I lived in NC. Our main hang out spot after classes was a hookah bar, and we'd all just sit, smoke, & chill for hours. They would laugh at me, and call me so innocent though because I could only handle a few puffs without coughing everytime, and I'd be done after like 3 hits, but they also would always mix their flavors with a mint which would be really harsh on my throat. But yeah I'm not really much of a huge smoker because I can barely handle smoking anything without coughing after awhile. I'm waaaaayyyy more of a drinker, and I can handle my alcohol really well! I have a high tolerance & it usually takes like 2 drinks to even make me feel buzzed. Or well depending on what the drink is like if it's a Long Island I'm definitely feeling it after 2 long islands, but then I also sober up quick too. Hmm maybe I should catch up with him! Just be all chatty, and then bring it up. But then I'd have to invest in one those ummm bowl things? Idk what they're called, is it called a pipe? That small thing that has the round bowl on end. Whatever who knows.

Yeah I got too excited about hookah, did too much in one go and ended up having a coughing fit haha. Always wanted to go to a hookah bar, it sounds super chill Oh god, I hate mint. Can't stand the taste or smell of it. Menthol or eucalyptus on the other hand... I'm curious about how that'd taste. Nice and cold? I used to handle my drink very well but since I rarely drink as much as I used to, my tolerance has gone down to the point if I have two mouthfuls of a premix alcohol drink, I get tipsy right away lol. It's baaaad but good for me because it takes less to get drunk. I really like Tequila sunrise, the local LGBT club makes them absolutely divine! I think they're called a pipe, yup!

Quit smoking cigarettes for good over 10 years ago. Had previously quit smoking cigarettes for about a year and thought I could handle a cigar every now and then, which became two a day, and then 5, and then back to pack a day plus cigarettes...I don't think I'll be vaping...do miss the social aspect of smoking cigarettes though.

I am an avid vaper and let me tell you a little why.
For me the short story is I'm an alcoholic. 2+ years ago I was called out on it and I quit cold turkey. But I need something to do with my hands especially during those times of "just reaching for something". I was a nervous wreck at the time but I learned all about the ins and outs of vaping, the pros, cons, how to build your own coils / wicks, how to make your own natural "safe" juice. I use a minimum amount of nicotine because it does help me settle a bit. No more than you would find in a super ultra light (not that that's much better but still).
I'm apart of the legislative move to lift the restrictions that will basically put vaping into the same category as tobacco. Now you may say "damn right".
But here is how stupid that is. Not only would they list juice with nicotine, but also juice without. PLUS the devices them self PLUS side things like the batteries, battery chargers, etc ..... now does that sound dumb? And the main lobbyists pushing for those changes are headed by guess who? The big tobacco companies. Starting to sound fishy eh?

Tried it, don't much get it, I really dislike the 'flavors', and it just doesn't seem to be a substitute for cigarettes, more like an addition to them for me. I know people who do vape, and they like it, but they also smoke cigarettes, still. It's OK for others, I don't see anything wrong with it, not anymore than cigarettes. It's just not for me. Seems expensive as well, another habit that would cost me. I buy pipe tobacco, and have a rolling machine and spend less than a third on what I would buying packs. Here a pack of cigarettes costs about $8 and up, there is a lot of tax on them and it has brought down the number of people who smoke, but now they vape instead I think... I don't notice it as much as I used to, and the displays for it have gotten smaller it seems, so maybe it is dropping off or leveling off. As it is, I'm down to smoking about a third of a pack or 6-7 a day, and since I can't and don't want to smoke in the house, with winter coming on fast, that will probably just end it all together this year. But they do help with the level of anxiety that seems to come and go, and seems to be more often than usual lately. The alternative is very low dose klonopin, .5 to 1 mg, which is very low considering most people use 5-15 mg at a time. Only works for about six hours and I use it now to help me fall asleep, which I doubt vaping would suffice... I can see why some would vape as a replacement for cigarettes, less bad crap filled lungs I suppose.

Right there 22 for a year of what would be the equivalent of a year of cigarettes. Look at the math . Sorry it's thanksgiving and I am a little tired

I see the costs of buying the stuff in the tobacco shops and by how much the people I know who use them regularly, like most people do cigarettes. I have no idea how to make a homemade one that is portable enough. Never looked into it. My cost to smoke right now is annually about $120, maybe a little more, $10/month I figure. I don't really want to know if it is more or less, I do know I should just quit. Sometimes I think the little anxiety attacks might be coming off of nicotine, and I smoke when they become more than I care to deal with. Anxiety used to be much worse when I smoked a couple packs a day, but life in general was much more stressful then as well. I go way out of my way to avoid anxiety right now, and the idea that I might be able to just quit klonopin as well is the goal. It was a year ago that I ended up getting stuck in a psyche unit for three months, that many people coming and going with who knows what disorders is still affecting me. I know it shouldn't, but it did push me over the edge pretty far and I've done really well for the last nine months getting it back under control. Right now, the cost isn't so much the point as just getting back to a more anxiety free life, is. If vaping works for anyone, then more power to them... The choice between bad habits like nicotine and anxiety, nicotine and even drugs are the better choice as far as I'm concerned, anxiety is very hard to deal with.

I vape, but I often cave in and end up smoking "analogue cigarettes" at the same time. I have some fairly high-end vape things but I don't quite understand the hobbyists.

I started vaping about..two..three? three years ago, I believe, to quit smoking. Truthfully, good flavors can be hard to find and it can be easy to get burnt out if you vape it constantly. I, however, only vape for my minimal nicotine intake (it has gone down drastically) and stick with just one flavor - I prefer fruity flavors because desserts dry my mouth out.
But if you're looking to vape recreationally, it can be a lovely hobby. I know lots of people that only vape for clouds and flavors. It can be a complicated mechanic depending on what you get, but it's an easy routine to get into after you've put the time into it (cleaning, finding out what's wrong, etc)

Can't beat that. My personal favorites are Lizzy, jinx and the strawberry daiquiri one. Amazing!!
