Ok so a little tip. If you have curly hair and want to get it cut then find someone that knows totally about curly hair and how it will react to a cut.
I had mine cut a week or so ago and it had grow out really long. I should have known, dumbass me, but got a cute little shoulder length bob that kissed the top of my shoulders. When the person cutting it asked if it was the length I wanted, I said yes. It was a little longer but OMFG. The curls had stretched and ever since the cut the curls have been bouncing back without all the weight. So what started as a cute kissing the shoulders blunt curly bob has turned into an inch and a half above the shoulders bob. Still cute. Maybe even more so and more feminine even. But still though. Actually I'm liking it more even.
Before anyone says anything about the tension during the cut, the guy knows all about that but the natural tension from the weight and now the bounce back is making it shorter. Hell he even asked me if I had it cut again and told him no. We actually see each other. He told me we should have left another inch or two but OMG, I don't think so. I am loving the shorter, curly blunt look. Hell my drop down earrings peep through the length even. Not even gonna' mention my larger hoops.
But.. If you have curly hair that is long and want it a certain length just remember to give at least a couple of inches longer because over a few days without the added weight of the hair the curls will bounce upward more. So if you wanna' cut your curly hair then either find someone that knows everything about curly hair and how it reacts. I lucked out because I love the length now but if I had wanted it no shorter than shoulder length I would have been totally disappointed.
