Where girl meets boy: why are child referrals to London's gender identity clinic rising so sharply? Another big change is the number of people who identify as neither female nor male — who are pangender, non-binary or gender fluid. “We’re also seeing young people who choose not to have genital surgery,” says Wren. “They’re getting into relationships with non-trans or trans people, and they’re just boldly out there, trying to live with a body that would once have been seen as anomalous. They’re trying to make it more mainstream to have a line-up of bits that aren’t the norm. There’s a lot of pioneering young people.”

That's absolutely true!! It seems my generation and younger generations/ future ones are being more open minded/accepting and just more in tune with themselves and who they are! We're embracing ourselves more and more, and it's an absolutely beautiful thing!! I'm so lucky to be queer within this era! The freedoms to be able to be out and 100% queer and proud, well that is in most places. (I tend to use queer as an umbrella term for everyone in LGBTQIA+ community)
I mean hell my little brother has told me he's bi, and we've talked about questioning gender. Also my little sister isn't the typical girly girl, she very active and sporty! She does gymnastics, and now she's currently playing softball! If she ends up queer too, I'd find it the best the thing ever if my siblings and I are all queer!
But honestly our futures are changing, and I wonder if we'll ever be able to do away with labels, stereotypes, gender norms, gender roles, sexuality, gender, sexism, ableism, rascism, xenophobia, transophobia, homophobia, classism, elitism, body shaming, bigotry, hatefulness, and get rid of our cishetero normative patriarchal society!
Will we ever just be human beings embracing our differences? Probably not anytime soon or in the coming years, but maybe hopefully in the future!
