I'm an FTM 22 pre T and I'm currently trying to change my physique before top surgery. I'm seeing my doctor at the end of the month to get the details of my surgery sorted out but the big issue is getting in shape for it. I'm hoping to lose fat, gain some muscle particularly on my chest and abs, and aim for an overall lean, athetic look. This is where I am right now. Wasn't sure about nudity policies so I put mustaches on my nipples xD Height: 5' 2" Weight: 110lbs BMI: About 20-23% (my scale says 14.5% but that's because I input male because I wasn't thinking >_<) My end goal is to have a chest and stomach along the lines of this. Of course I can't hope for the chest below image until I'm post op. Everything I've found online is contradictory. Some say do weight lifting and avoid cardio, others say do cardio and avoid weight lifting. I think the one thing I have down pat is my diet which consists solely of natural proteins, fats, carbs at about 1300 calories a day. Not sure if I should up my caloric intake though... Right now I'm doing a combination of weight exercise mainly for my chest and shoulders and high intensity cardio. I'm pretty weak in terms of lifting and I can only do about 10lbs per dumbbell for flies and the like. I've heard dead lifts are good because they work the whole body but I haven't tried them yet. This is my first week, and a total noob and I want to make sure I'm doing the best and safest things possible to drop the excess fat I have on my body and build muscle. Any advice would be immensely appreciated! Thanks for reading!

Lol wish i had those...
Dunno but when i was fully physically male the vigorous lifestyle i lead including lawnmowing on hills did the trick, also eating lean nonfatty food.
Chopping wood...
I still have arm definition 3 years into this.

A low-carb, low-sugar diet (also known as keto/ketogenic diet) is the way to go. Reddit/Keto are a wonderful helpful community for this. This will cut down your overall body fat to get as slim as the ripped guy. Then you will be able to work on your weight-lifting, to tone up, get the muscles you'd like. It will take a lot of hard work and effort but if you persist, you'll get there. Push-ups help your chest muscles, crunches help the abdominal muscles. But what's better than that, is doing whole-body-weight exercises that have every muscle group doing their thing so the overall body gets lean and athetic. Lots of protein in your diet is needed to help muscle repair and growth. Reddit/KetoGains <- they help with exercise/weight-lifting and being on Keto. Reddit/KetoGains also have a very active FaceBook group that can help anyone out. I know it feels like I'm throwing a lot of links at you, while I am on keto diet myself, I'm extremely overweight and need to lose the fat first before I can even think about working on building muscle. So I'm not much help where I currently am to be able to help you but don't worry, I will support you in your goals however I can! You can do it! Also, awesome moustache stickers haha
