I found this an interesting article, with some thoughts worth considering.

I don't think the trans men as predator thing is going to be a problem, this may be a case of some sensitive overthinking. Really though I think they make a good point for the governor to mull over in his bigoted head.

I think I agree with you, Shan.  I think this is a point worth raising, worth considering, but at the end of the day, I don't really see much in it.  I think the lads are simply saying, "Do you want us in here?", and I don't think we need to see anything more in it.  If the lads themselves see something demeaning in it, they could say so and avoid adopting this strategy, but we're not hearing that from them.

It could also have something to do with the fact that the lads were formerly socialized as female, in which case they may be capitalizing on something that they learned about men early in life and thus may be appealing visually to the probability that a man in the women's room may be a predator. Husbands and fathers seeing that photo could have a knee jerk reaction touching on that fear. The photo conveys a powerful message without internalizing it to this extreme as some fear it might.

Just kicking both sides of the thoughts concerning it!
