I'm lazy about shaving my legs though, there's a bit of fur there, lol.
Lots of gals don't shave their legs often during the colder months, it strips away the natural oils and unless you're into a lot of continual moisturizing what is the point when you're going to have your legs covered anyway? I do. You never know when you may have a "visitor" and you always keep your house clean just in case someone drops by. Plus doing gigs in short shorts no matter the weather. and UGHHH I hate hairy legs on myself. I hate stubbly legs on myself even. Not to mention even wearing jeans without the hair makes me feel a little more sensual. When you have someone it is different and that can go either way.... Mine like my legs smooth, you never know when the mood will strike and I definitely don't want to tell him, "hang on baby, I'll be done in a few minutes." But he can be a dawg for me so I do it mainly for myself but for him too when the mood strikes which is quite often. That is pretty much every night unless he has to work really late. Then he still knows his woman is ready even if he ain't. If not, Oh well. He does have to work a lot harder than me. But I am always prepped and ready. I hope that ain't too dirty. Seriously though it is more for me than him. I absolutely abhor body hair on myself except my brows and hair on my head. Another part is debatable. Sometimes a little and sometime none. But no one can ever pull it.

Now if most of us here were such smoldering sexpots we'd probably agree with your game plan, but for the most part we all just live pretty sedate lives and for some the idea of entertaining a guy isn't a big issue over practical levels of personal comfort and not shaving legs in the winter here in the northern hemisphere is just one of those things we can happily avoid. If perchance someone wanted to come calling they'd best not think they're just going to drop in for a quicky, some aren't the least bit sexual and most of us don't operate like that! But different strokes for different folks, we wouldn't change you in any way, but meantime you won't convince us to start shaving our legs in the dead of winter because we don't want to anyway.

Oh hon. If I lived in Alaska I would still shave them in the winter time. I like the way they feel. I love the way they feel with my jeans on, skinny women's jeans or loose guy jeans. Visitors aside, I am not that slutty. I do have a boyfriend that won't go nowhere soon. We do kind of like each other a little. But it is all for me. You know the Shania Twain song, "Man I Feel Like a Woman"? Well smooth legs kind of kills my dysphoria. same with the underarms and having long hair. Same with the eyebrows. Well hon, I got to feel that way. Don't let my reputation fool you. If I didn't do all the girly things you may would want to attend my funeral. :'(No so it's not my BF. It's not for any "visitors" but rather totally for me. It's all for me. No one else. I love the really smooth feeling. Well I do it for him too but if he left me tomorrow and I ended up moving to Alaska I would still shave every day. That is for me and no one else.

Yeah I like two blades but more than that just irritates my skin. I forgot my old razor at home one day and had to buy a brand new one. It was a fourblade razor and OMG, my legs just wasn't anywhere as smooth as what I get from a twinblade. I love my widehandle white and green Venus that I have had for ages. I do use the Gilette Sensor Exell blades though with it. Two blades only. OMG the five blade razor just really not that close of a shave and really iritated my skin. I love my old Venus. It seems that knicks and cuts always seeemd to happen more with the skinny handle razors when they tend to twist and turn. But one other thing though when shaving is use conditioner under the guy's shaving cream. THose women's saving creams stay away from. I read this in Glamour Magazine a long time ago. So Pure Silk shaving cream is a cheaper version of the Gilette guys shaving cream. Use a girly razor but use guy's blades and shaving cream. They are generally better. Body hair and skin are much different than facial hair and skin. I can use the five blades, but around my knees, it's to wide, and does cut sometimes. You have to use a different pressure to get the same results, and the five blades cost to much. You get a better shave from them by being aggressive and a face you can do that with them. Also, the number of hairs per square inch is roughly the same all over your body, and you shave a lot more area on your body. the hairs might be finer, but there are a lot more you are shaving. But it is harder to make a five blade work on body hair, I don't like having to change the way I use one when I use one for that. The five blades will pull up the finer more delicate skin way to easy and you get burn, if you don't, you don't get a close shave. Why the two blades works better. It is mostly getting used to whatever works for you, no two people and that. But the 'optimal' says that two on body, more on face is the way. I can, if i take my time, use a straight razor and get just as good a shave anywhere on my body, but that's just it, who wants to take their time? That takes pulling the skin to make the hairs stand out and double triple shaving the same spot. It comes down to how and what you are used too more than anything else, but there are reasons for doing it different ways. Finding the one that works the best takes some time to get used to, and most people have their own preferences depending on variables more than just skin type and hair type. After reading various reasons why, it took awhile to get used to using different blades and techniques, one does not fit all and I don't follow the optimal, I use what works for me the way that works best for me. Conditioner or moisturizer (basically the same thing, just about) that is rubbed in and then using shaving cream over that is better. I should have clarified that, but using conditioner and then using shaving cream on top of it is countering the benefits of both. One is soap, the other is oils. They tend to cancel each other out. The way that they can work together is if the oils are micro encapsulated, and stick after the soap is rinsed off. I use a body wash like that for shaving my body, works pretty good. Not so much on my face. Just plain old pretty much soap works for the way I shave, even it it isn't the optimal. The ability to being able to rinse the blades each stroke is pretty key to getting the best use out of them it seems to me. But on my body, it can take to long and simply pushing the bade backwards against skin usually clears it enough that the nest stroke will pass through the blades to keep them clear. Moisturizer or body oils cut down on burns and can help with cuts as well when done.

Moisturizer or body oils cut down on burns and can help with cuts as well when done. Nope soap don't work for me. I tried and just not enough lubrication. The best thing that I ever found was conditioner. A good one and not a cheap one. Garnier Sleek and Shine and then a really good shaving cream. Not too much pressure though. My legs get silky smooth. I do the same thing on my face. Damn I hate facial hair. that is the worst. If on my legs I shave with too much pressure, that is where the irritation kicks in. But my hair leg is more in the range of female leg hair. I have seen females that let their leg hair grow and mine are naturally less hairy. Lucky maybe? OK so a little confession, The back of my calves I don't even grow hair there. Everywhere else even is pretty sparse. But the face though. UGHHH. The chest too but that is almost like my legs even but all over but not really thick.

'The back of my calves I don't even grow hair there. Everywhere else even is pretty sparse.'
Same here. A lot less from HRT, even the LD kind. Fricken chest hair is limited to pretty much in the middle, but there enough on the rest to need shaving as well. I tried to ignore it, it didn't go away like I wanted it too...
Facial hair? it grows slow, and I can get away with it for about a week. It takes a couple days to get the 5 o clock shadow... Ever see them burning the hair off elephants used in circus's and such? I think about my face hair like that.

I'm fortunate, no body hair beyond a little crotch and underarm stuff. Just a few hairs just below the kneecaps only.

I wish I was that fortunate, but I still have more laser hair removal and electrolysis ahead of me. Mariah I never had my face completely cleared, but what's left is pretty light and inconsequential.

Actually, I'd be far more inclined to shave body hair if my girlfriend was around. Right now it's just too much trouble for too little payoff most of the time, considering I still feel fat and ugly even when I'm perfectly smooth, but when she's around, I'd want to be as smooth and sensual and girly as possible. <3 So I'm sorta with Jamie on this one. I want to be as sexy as possible for my girlfriend and I dun care how cold it is outside.

Ummm, being exotic and driving the cis nuts?
:-)
I use a four blade, every where but the...Ummm...triangle thing... but not under the arms. You know the face thing, and that no longer bugs me, this short.
The worst is in the most hidden spots, I shave that two or three times, in different directions. Behind the thigh it's a double shave.
When it's done, the feeling is just, ahhh. Peace, wholeness, I feel me.
And in bed, leg on leg or nylon on nylon, it's just heaven.
Some day an epilady. For now, a men's four blade. All over, even between the boobies. That thinned, but irritatingly, it's there.
And around the belly...eeeewwwwwww.
Shave away, half hour showers with the razor.

Keeping your face warm? Really, I did notice a big difference after I shaved the big, bushy beard I had for over a decade.

Great question, but I think I would have a few others first. Here is a better pick. Mind you I still need to shave this morning which I'm about to do along with everything else. Your place looks nice, most of the gals that post selfies have incredibly messy rooms so this is a first.

It actually has to be since it's also where I work from and I can be inspected at anytime. Secondly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I hate messes. Mariah It is refreshing, a neat and clean environment is the first sign that someone has an orderly and well prioritized mind which translates into the probability that the person can develop a plan and see it through to the conclusion. A good trait for someone in transition to be sure.
