Family needs me to cut my hair. Hard to get an andro cut that morphs the spectrum with a comb... I have male fail right now in that presentation. They cant handle that. Tweaking time. Just my opinion? I would wear my hair the way I wanted to. I mean men do have long hair and usually women go all ga ga over it. Remember the 70's? Men and women had long hair and both were pretty much the same style, parted down the middle usually and frizzy as hell. So grow it out and then go to a really good salon that can give you more of a guy cut that is long. I mean, long hair on guys is nothing unusual. I am failing because of my cut now but I can still pass too when I fix it just right. Guy long hair is kind of like, " I don't give a fuck, like it or leave it." and making it look like you don't fuss over it. I personally would set them down and tell them if I go to the barber then we all go to the barber and make it a uniform family cut. But that's just me though. My head, my body, my life and my hair. Nobody else's so I should have my own choice to dress, look and act how I want within reason. Long hair don't hurt anyone unless it gets caught in a blender. So you can grow it and let it get a little messy and unruly around them. Have the "I don't give a damn" hairstyle and then fix it the way you want in a parking lot close to your job. If your boss don't have a problem with it. OK so they can't handle it but how do you feel about it? Can you handle it? the long hair and feeling it on your shoulders and back is amazing if you are MTF or nonbinary MTF. Being able to grab it and smell the scent of shampoo and other hair products is a wonderful olfactory sensation. Also being able to see it out of the corner of your eyes is another ecstatic visual sensation. All for these I would not trade for the world. playing with it is freakin' awesome. Different parts, styles, ponies, wearing up or down and so on. The very word haircut makes me sick because until I was old enough to run and hide in the woods, I had to have a boy's haircut. The first time I ran away for a week, my mom and dad gave up the ghost and said to hell with it. Even very young I hated having short hair. It just didn't feel right. You start out with, "My family needs me to cut my hair." But do you need or want too? Your needs and wants are just as important but you need to weigh that option. On a lighter note though. If you need a haircut maybe they do too like in the way of high and tights all the way around. Make it a uniform family dress code. Hell the two women that went through Ranger training had the same haircut as the guys.

But I can just imagine making Frozen Pina' Coladas and my hair getting stuck and pulling my head down into the blender. Just hit the stop button and drink until I can breathe again and then go get a bob the next day. But my hair isn't that long anymore. Used to be but now the back is to the bottom of my shoulder bones and the front is four inches from my nips , due to layers, and the fringe is about a quarter inch above my brows. So no hiding the girly for me anymore. Hairstyle wise anyway. But screw it. I'm tired of having the closet door open and the light on and people too ignorant to notice. Ignorance in the true meaning of the word.

It's all a matter of being able to express who you are and being comfortable.

It's is amazing how something so insignificant as the length of the hair growing out of our skin can make us feel validated in our gender identity. Lack of body hair and long hair on my head affirms who I am to me. I know it is way deeper than that but as long as I have those two things then the clothes or nothing else matters. Oh I forgot the brows though. Those looking more feminine too help. We all have "security blankets" and those are mine. Yeah. Long hair can be a pain in the butt but that is a pain in the butt that I will gladly take. Ughh, no pun intended.

I feel the same - it seems trivial, but it's important in regard to identity... even beyond gender. For me, clothes are important as well because now I feel confident wearing them; shallow things perhaps, but a way to express who I am.

Hair, brows, clothes are all outward expressions of an inward knowledge. I'm wearing sheepskin boots, tight black jeans, and a grey and blue mini-dress. My hair is about shoulder length, I'm wearing jewery that was made in Africa and a ring from India. This is all a way for me to say I feel beautiful and don't you think so too. I dress eclectically because I feel that I am worth being an individual and not one of the herd. One of the remarkable things about this community, as opposed to some other trans sites, is that here it is okay to be unique. Perhaps more than okay it is encouraged. If we ever have a party somewhere in the world where we can all gather, I'm pretty sure it will be colorful and gender crazy fun. Till then, join me in Trinidad for Carnival. I'll be the crazy one wearing feathers and a Top Hat. Cheers, Ming

Some of the simplest things can make a world of difference. Oh don't get me wrong. I love the girly clothes. OMG taking off hosiery at the end of the night feels so good. Putting it on before a night on the town feels so good too. But the three main things for me is long hair, hairless legs and underarms and perfect brows according to fashion. I loved the pencil thin brows but... Thank god now I didn't go that route because thick is in now. The outside tapering is what makes the difference between male and female. UGHH. I hate thick brows so I am in between so that makes me look more femme. But oh well. But nothing is trivial and nothing shallow. Insignificant is something someone may never even notice but screams to you. We all have our security blankets, now everyone knows mine whether dressed En Femme or Male, UGHHH. (puke) For me not for you. LOL. I'm sure you feel totally opposite.

Cheers, Ming Trinidad Colorado? Or the country? I remember when Trinidad Colorado was referred to as Tranny Town in the early 90's because they had a surgeon there that specialized in SRS. Now I think it may be Denver but... That was a long time ago. While driving a truck, there is a truckstop that I used to stop at on I 25 in Trinidad Co. I never got that out of my mind but it was one of the most quiet, politest towns that I ever went through many times. A lot of the locals visited the truckstop and while sitting to pee, I would hear a knock instead of an eye peering through the spaces of the stall. So if anything we are polite at least. I just wish I would have had more time to spend in the town. I was always pushed for time going through there but I should have laid over at least once and checked out the nightlife. Pretty town too.

The country. I got talked into a cruise and then it was just possible to fly to Port of Spain where my friend has a free place to stay. So that's the plan. I used to live in Denver but never made it south to Trinidad. Sounds like a fun place.

Brows are dialed in nice. I need total artistic control of the cut. Cut it feminine and off the collar back, sharp angle sides down the cheekbones, longish on top to eyebrow level. Back its ny heavy guy. Forward it becomes sh'e. All of it is me.
