I really am. I'm drunk, and that's all I live for. I don't do anything but school and work and I don't know how to talk to people. I'm so lonely and disconnected. I feel like no one understands what I'm going through and how painful it is to be seen as a woman. I want to be visibly genderqueer so that people can't place me in either box. I want to be free. I'm trying so hard to be patient with the changes, but it's been five and a half months and I still look totally female to others. I tried using mascara on my facial hair, but it doesn't really look right. I don't know what to do. I need to be read as Other, but I can't the way things are now. I got invited to a women's only circle today. I'm so tired of people seeing me as female. I'm dying. I need to be seen.

I'm a loser. I am. I can't handle life without getting fucked up. How sad is that? I can't get through life without getting totally removed from reality. I wish I looked like me.

It took me four years to be able to grow in facial hair consistently but since I want to look like a feminine boy, I shave it off. I'd give all my facial hair growing powers to you in an instant if I could Will people thinking you are genderqueer validate your identity and make you feel better about yourself? It's important that you validate yourself, accept and embrace who you are first over seeking validation from others because there is no guarantee that everyone will accept or see you the way you wish them to see you. You cannot control what people see you as. Even though I'm coming up 5 years on T, deep voice and flat chest, I still pass for a girl to the random stranger It doesn't upset me like it used to. I've learned to embrace it, I know I'm genderless, I know I desire an androgynous male body. You are not a loser, you are simply struggling and using the means you can (drinking) to cope with the situation you are dealing with. Removing yourself from reality helps you cope rather than being stuck in it and being pushed to the edge. You will look like you one day. It will happen slowly, over time. Hang in there! We are here for you, always

just keep in mind that people who know you from before, will keep thinking of you as a "woman" even when you look 120% passable as a man. the human mind is weird that way, first impressions last a long while. and if you've known a person for a long while without getting extremely clear signals that those impressions were wrong, you'll just stick to it.
did you ask any strangers for some more reliable input on who you look like?
