Lots of different ways to take estrogen, by far the easiest and safest is a patch, they are clear, won't almost never come off in a shower and range in strengths from barely there to lots more than a person really needs. Low dose is what you get at first, and personally, I'd give it six months before thinking about higher doses, it takes time for the body to normalize its effects. Mst impotrantanly, don't let them prescribe testosterone blockers, while they might get you there faster if you are hellbent on growing boobs in a few months, everyone needs testosterone. Its not about the levels either, its about the ratios and those are just a few of the hundreds of hormones your body needs to work right, just let the low dose E do its thing until your body agrees and says sure you can have that higher ratio if you want. It takes time, there is no short cuts that are safe and don't tend to unhinge your mind in the process, but low dose gives most people a healthy feeling within a week, if its not right for you, you'll know because you will feel like crap. The more E you dump in at the beginning and at anytime really, the more the body just ups the T so that the ratio isn't all screwed up, but it gets used to the higher E and you might not have to even take it much if at all once your body settles on the ratio you want that makes you just feel and think better, you pump in more before your body gets used to it and its an uphill battle all the way, you lived this long with what you have, a slight adjustment is really a lot in terms of how it makes you feel, and no, twice as much never makes you feel twice as good, diminishing returns and all that. Also about patches, they are tiny, like a half inch thereabouts and are by far the easiest to get, there isn't a pharmacy in this country or even canada that doesn't easily stock them, it more commonly known as birth control for women. And remember, it the humane thing to get your republicans neutered and spayed, the disease spreading isn't going to be solely taken away by their refusal to get covid vaccines or the resulting zombie mutation that will make it legal to shoot them to slim down the heard, get'm neutered and spayed, be kind.

Doubling down on the slow increase thing, the first dose of HRT as far as I am concerned is like losing your virginity and you never forget it, I felt the cells fire up in my boobs and butt and lips, as well as color perception change, it was really amazing.
And the way Ativan and I got talking is when I technically od'd on estrogen shots, the stuff is powerful, proceed carefully.
Ativan has experience with the patch, I inject, and I am not sure what Leena does or how it went for her.

One thing to be aware of, since you are married, is that it does have an impact on your ability to be a top. Cialis can counter that from what I understand, and its another good reason for low dose and staying away from the blockers.
I was a bottom to begin with, but topping anyone at all now is totally out of the question for me. But my sex life was gone before I started HRT, dysphoria killed it dead, I couldn't rationalize through it anymore, very much the mtf trans female physically that way, that's just me and how my body works.
Hugs, huge step there.

This is why T blockers are bad, you can have a higher ratio of E to T and have the effects of that which is the low dose regime, and there are things that make you still able to have erections for a long time, you just want to change the ratio some, not destroy it.

Nothing yet, and it sounds like it will be a good long time before they can see me. The universal healthcare in Canada is great, but some things, like trans healthcare, are woefully overlooked. But, on the bright side I do have a really good and knowledgeable new therapist. He's just written me a letter of recommendation for HRT and has pointed me in the direction of alternatives. So, I'll see how I.get on in the next few weeks, and I'll let you know

Spoke to about 15 cis folk in a meeting stealthy sh'e. By the time i was done speaking about alcoholism and outing myself, we wound up with i think all of them becoming allies.
It felt good. I just told the truth.
Had my feather earrings in. Felt nice.

Slightly frustrating day today. Made an appointment to speak to a nurse online about hrt but there was a problem with the online booking and she missed it. Rearranged for next week though, so I'll see how that goes. Or if it goes!
At the very least it feels good to make more steps a little closer to hrt - it's good to know I've made some decisions.

Slightly frustrating day today. That does sound frustrating. I had a few minor setbacks when I was starting and it can be really nerve wrecking after making such a big decision.

It never goes according to plan, but it will eventually get you there. I got lucky with my stuff, but it still took a couple months before I finally got a script for the birth control dots, which is likely what you will get, very low dose especially at first. Its a subtle change in how you feel and perceive yourself, but its for sure worth it if you take to them which most people do, very seldom does anyone not like it. The its a slow and long process to get to where you imagine it is you want to be, but its subtle, just remember that it isn't like taking street drug versions of vicodin or the like, just subtle changes that take time for you to catch up to. Therapy is a long drawn out thing as well but is probably even more important than getting low dose, its your guide for the first couple years of the journey and helps a lot.
