Not my style here but should probably be up since its part of the scene.
trigger words in the song, faggot specifically. I word I personally detest and was called that far too many times, usually accompanied by a lot of laughter of others.
You tube reviews were cruel and brutal.

Going to take a break from this, its overload.
Really wide genre, and as far as I am concerned, really slim pickings.
I'm not into the drag scene and there is plenty of that, but there are things in here where I got a few takeaways.
After doing all the digging frankly I have a bit of a bad taste in my mouth, i feel a little overwhelmed, and a bit down. Most is binary trans, some of it is really interesting, some of it shocks, and all of it takes to speaking of having the courage to be ourselves.
I personally needed to do this thread, I wanted the vids specifically trans up in one place. The rest of the board frankly feels like the joy of finally living free. Juxtaposed against this thread and the homelessness thread there is a huge variance in the experiences and the takeaways.
Most transpeople apparently get what they need, get their transitions, and get on with their lives dropping into as much stealth as they can. Maybe I am wrong about that. But it seems to me to be the common end game. I don't know the statistics on how many of us have a sad story to live out. I do know that many of us have suffered and some continue to do so, and that a life of living transgender is something that takes a bit of courage.
The fact that we can draw strength from each other is huge. The gift of having the internet, so that we are not alone or totally isolated from others who understand, is a huge one. I hate to think of where we must have been before the transgender revolution that is only now beginning to start. These were the performing artists I could find that are out there doing something.
For that, whether the art is good or not, each one deserves some respect.
My personal favorite does remain Namoli. More than anything else its the message. She is doing what art means at core.
She is out there making a difference and touching a life.

So this is a video made for Placebo. One of my favourite bands. The androgynous look of Brian Molko, drew me in as a teen. Even then, I felt I had found one of my tribe.
For Placebos Loud Like Love Album the band employed a number of directors to make videos for each of the songs on the album. This was the result for Begin The End. I'm not sure if the song was meant to have trans themes within but this video certainly captures something. I cried the first time I watched it.

Hit me hard. Really hard... the feeling of being on the street is so on target like that for me, whether nonbinary presenting or female presenting. Non binary presenting is where I go with it, but there remains that similar feeling. Late at night I personally drop into stealth street male for safety.
Thanks big time for contributing like this.
I can't bring myself to use a ladies bathroom no matter how I am looking. I just can't handle that - even on full hormones for a couple years now.
But seriously, not wanting to comment here and shift focus, this for me is a great video I am so glad you found it and brought it here. These vids have a lot of impact on folks I think. At least they do on me.
Great contribution post to the forum. Many thanks.
