question about sensitivity and hiding this section

In view of recent triggering does it make sense to hide this and allow anyone that wants to have access, but those that don't won't be distracted by our faith?

Might help those following most recent threads or most recent posts from stumbling into it.  

We need to freely discuss, but not to trigger others.

Thoughts?  Is it doable?   Not exclusory, just not obvious.  Nothing hidden if access is desired, but hidden if access is unwanted.

Can it or should it be done?

I'm not religious at all and I don't mind the section being here. I read it when I see something that I might want to check out or don't if something doesn't seem to interest me. I'm wary of starting with too much oversight here. Its what helped lead to a lot of issues we all had elsewhere. I don't think we need nannying, just have to remember that we are civilized beings and should act accordingly and we should take others sensitivities into account and we don't need to attack any group of people, but that can easily be handled with self censoring for the most part.

Our topics about faith are limited to one single forum, if someone feels triggered by the topics, don't read them, and don't go in that forum.?

I'm proud of my faith and my God, it gives me peace and life, I don't want to hide that from anyone.?

Theres always going to be something in any topic or subject that could trigger someone, depending on they're past.

If we just try and keep our topics in the appropriate forum, and keep showing our deep care and concern for each other, we should be able to respect each others beliefs, and if we detect a triggering reply, we can comfort them..

But if there is a need to protect some further, I support whatever will cause no harm to anyone.

Don't be ashamed of your beliefs Trinity. Mark is right, no one should ever have to hide their beliefs. Not everyone has the same beliefs but we should respect how others believe and listen to what they have to say and vice versa. We may actually learn something from one another. We never have to change our beliefs but our eyes can always be open to greater possibilities. I think that beliefs should be talked about with reasonable minds. Without defensiveness or being offended. Everyone is different and our life experiences will usually mold our belief systems. Sensitivity is doubt and doubt isn't no where near Faith. But we all doubt, it is all about how you handle it.

Always stand for your beliefs and never hide them from anyone. And sweetie, no one should be triggered about how someone else believes. I have my own which is a mix match between a little bit of everything.

I'm probably at fault here because I mentioned to Trinity something Ativan had said via email about religion, spirituality and politics not having any place in a Non Binary and Transgender website. Not that there's anything inherently wrong with any of those topics but they said that it invariably leads to bitch fights, hurt feelings and all kinds of divisiveness and drives some off like we saw the other day. From an historic perspective having been long term at the other site I can say that I agree. I'm a Christian believer myself but quite frankly if I wanted to talk about Christ and spiritual truths I'd feel constrained to click on a Christian website, people come here to talk about trans specific issues. I think anyone wishing to talk about Jesus is free to pm or email me anytime for that.

Back on track, there is too much hurt out thereeand there is a need for solid trans discussions related to belief. It could be taken to group pms, or to a veiled section, but to publicly debate among the wounded is really not that great. Interesting that star left, will remain in touch withhme and I started the mess. But regardless, this issue is a troubling one for the people of trans, there are no easy answers here, and to somehow keep those threads out of most recent topics or most recent posts would veil it from those wishing to avoid it. Until that happens I will watch my tongue. Sorry got off color, my stress levels and alcoholism are off the charts right now. It will pass, it always does.,

I wish I could give you a hug right now Trinity. Life is hurt. Life is ups and downs. We are trans and there is a big reason for it. What? I really don't know but there is. There is no coincidences in the Universe. We are all wounded. This is something that is not even related to being trans. We all hurt. If someone finds Spirituality triggering then they know to stay our of the spirituality section. It is not your fault or anyone else's. Never shun your beliefs. You beliefs and anyone else's beliefs are what made them who they are.

Look in the mirror and watch your tounge unless you are like Gene Simmons and can see it. I find what you have to say really interesting. I find what you say actually inspirational. You, my dear, are intelligent. You make me think. You make me question my own life. You may not know but you my dear, on HRT with a goatee, you are a hell of a person and you have my full respect. I'm not even on HRT but am afraid to grow a goatee. You may not think you have strength but you are stronger than what you think. Sorry if some can't handle it. Thanks dear. I can outlast booze, this is nothing, I am a walking miracle, beat odds of about a thousand to one or so.
