Attitudes, presentations and trans acceptance
The attitudes I am referring to is ours. I am a bit surprised at how well the acceptance levels are working out, based on taking my space and my stand as friendly genderqueer in the workplace. Most of the reactions are oddly positive, curiosity, some fun stuff with the girls, and a lot of puzzled faces.
But taking the ownership and having a positive self image about being transgendered and transitioned is definitely changing peoples perceptions around me.
How has your own attitude or presentation and comfort in that presentation affected others perceptions of either you or transgendered people in general?
Patty is a master of this, or mistress... when she is in action the way the people accept her is incredible. Life changing moment for me, when I got to see her....one afternoon and a pivotal moment in self acceptance and the reality of living it out.
