Really deflated after surgery. Surgery was scary, they kept telling me I should expect some pain rather than believing me that it was too much. When they checked I had a massive heamatoma and internal bleeding and was rushed back into theatre.
Now I am out, I have got an infection where the stitches have torn on the side of the heamatoma. The infection has spread despite me doing absolute best to keep it cleansed, plus there is something wrong with it... The clit is only attached to one labia, the other is missing and there is a large sack hanging over the vaginal entrance. They have said I will need a revision. I am just so deflated and scared that it's all going to go south from here. It seems like one complication after another.
I have had enough now.

Ah shit! That sucks, there is just no other word for it. This ought to be a celebration of fulfillment, rather than a time of fear. There are lots of platitudes that come to mind, none of which are worth a damn. Trinity was spot on. I'll be praying for you.
Namaste,
Ming

This is awful, I am so sorry you are going through this. Are you on any antibiotics for the infection?
Given the complexities of the surgery, it comes as no surprise that revisions are commonly sought, be it for minor or major details.
In a perfect world, it would be wonderful and much less hassle if we could have one surgery and that is it. But it's not always the case, sometimes the genitals don't heal in the correct manner and need some adjusting.
I imagine there is a lot of swelling right now. A transwoman said after SRS that both sides of her labia swelled up and it felt like she had testicles again. It took a very, very long time for that swelling to go down for her. Eventually, it came down to one side still being puffy and swollen.
I know a transguy who had multiple revisions on his metoidioplasty until it reached a point where he was comfortable with his genitals, in both appearance and position.
Please take care of yourself, know that we are always here for you should you need to vent your frustration or worries about the complications. Do you have anyone who is with you during this difficult time?
*gives a big hug!*

Patti sends her best wishes. Also if you pm her she may have some helpful information. If you can get stateside, in a worst case scenario, she knows a doc in miami that may be able to help. She has a heart of gold. Or diamond.
Patti is away from her computer i just said a little bit about it. She started crying. You can relay through me if you like via pm and ill get it to her via text until you two can connect.
I am praying hard for you dear.
You are not all alone here. You have people who care on this forum.

Thank you folks. It's nice to be supported here.
I couldn't get stateside, the money is insane and I don't have it, or the money that a revision would cost. I am pretty sure the surgeon will do it here though, it's just the time and trauma of going through it again and I can't have sick leave again till March so it will drag on into next year.
Thank you tho.
Yes I am on so many tablets atm, including antibiotics.
Feeling a bit brighter now. I knew I would be the one with complications. I always seem to draw the short straws.

You are one of the strongest I have personally seen on the forums and that gives others hope.
Hang in there girl.

Sorry you are going through all this but every surgery has risks. Give it time to heal though. And yeah you may need revisions but I know right after surgery everything looks ugly, messed up and just plain mean looking. I had a very minor surgery and right after it was extrememly painful, extremely uncomfortable with all the bandages. When I did get to take the bandages off it hurt to even look at it. It took 6 months after the stiches were removed for the pain to eventually go away. And this was just a minor surgery, so I can only imagine what you are going through.
