Hi
Sorry to be drowning you in threads. I need to shut up and let others play.
I had a guy just sir me, a coworker, nice guy. There was a customer at the counter, his head snapped up, I was outed. I present female at work.
I spoke one on one to the guy, privately, asked him not to sir me around the customers. Recognized he was trying to be respectful.
He said he did not understand, but would stop calling me sir.
Its getting awkward with the whole sir, maam thing. I got maimed this morning, it didn't feel right. Not as a neither.
Its the workplace, I walk on eggshells here. What are your thougts? I think I had to address it. I chose not to involve management.
What would you have done?
Now I'll stop overloading the forum.

Hello!
I would recommend involving management if that feels safe to you, there are a lot of resources out there for employers to make work a safe space for trans* employees. I identify as non-binary and am out at work with using gender neutral pronouns and soon to be out about taking T. Involving management has been key to have my identity respected. It is hard to not fit into the binary categories of male or female especially at work. Good luck my friend!

Nice of you to guest in. :-)
Couple things have changed. Everyone showed their cards, I'm dialed back to androgyne and have no desire to pursue mtf full transition.
They can call me whatever, I don't care at this point, all are true anyway.
But while management says it supports, it does not. It tolerates.
And again, thank you for posting.
Good for you, by the way...
