If you're bigender, do you go by two names? Or do you have a unisex name? Or perhaps differently-gendered first and middle names?
I don't want to change my first name, but in the spirit of exploration and experimentation, I was wondering about additional names and I really like the idea of changing or adding to my middle names.

I go by multiple names currently, and I hate it. I really would much rather just go by Leena, but there are times one has to go by their legal name. I've been hesitant to start the process of legally changing it though, as it seems like a bad time to not have a valid ID, and possibly one that doesn't match my vaccine records.

Where I get upset is my ID says male. I'm going for a flight to visit my father, airports are a pain, says he and then they want to know why I have breasts. No nonbinary or intersex option.

Bigender is one term I have used for myself, and still a possibly useful descriptor for me.
Not that that necessarily matters but it is part of the ongoing conversation I have with myself about how I feel about my name(s).
I still feel slightly uncomfortable with either my legal, traditionally male, name. But going by Hana in real life, with my therapist and trans health nurse, doesn't always feel entirely comfortable either.
I've been swinging all over the place thinking about names since I've begun this journey.
I feel like my perfect name would be a natural abbreviation of my legal name which was unisex, but leaning feminine. So not really possible.
Perhaps it shouldn't matter, and my sense of self shouldn't be so tied to my name, but it still is to some degree.
But then ultimately I don't think my name will or should guide my identity, but vice versa. So maybe one day it'll become clearer

With each step and each discovery we make on our path, we enter into the future and the past remains the same, we grow as people because this is how life works, we are always stepping into the future and leaving the past as it is behind. On the path we caryy what we think is important to us, but eventually they get left behind in the past, we cast off these things because they are the weight of the past and can make our journey heavy as we step forward. But we also increase that weight by the things we pick up along the way, altil the weight isn't comfortable and we decide to leave some of the past in the past as we move forward. Life is a journey and it needs to be comfortable and it needs to be moving, sometimes we stop to rest, but eventually move forward, the only direction because the past is written now and its just the reflections of the path we have travelled so far. It never hurts to try new things, to have an adventure, to learn more about the world around us on the path as well as ourselves because we are made to evolve, to grow, to learn new things, we have to or succumb to the stable sameness of being in one spot. Even turning around to find our past on the path is something that while it can be done, it is never the same, because what we remember of the past is just the reflections of it, the reality of the past is gone, just as the reality of the future is waiting for us to get there. Being in the moment is all that you really have, the past is gone and the future isn't written, its up to you to discover what is there for you as an individual, but the only thing that really matters is the now, being in the moment is critical to understanding what lies ahead as we move to the future. To be in the moment is to realize that the past is gone and that the future isn't here yet, giving up the internal dialogue of 'I wish I had done it this way' and the internal dialogue of this is what I expect to do with the future, you have very little control over it, you only have expectations. No amount of anticipation is going to change the outcome, but having a clear knowing and understanding of self in the moment will give you the edge you need to have a better journey, quiet the mind and feel yourself as you are. It is not about the destination, whatever that may be, what's important is the journey, the destination will get here soon enough.

WE think using 2 names as bigender is for people who didn't understand this very difficult, to have friends or family with a female and male first name.
That's why we have choosen to change our first names into first names who are outside the binairy.
We founded out that most animals called by race, not specified by gender.
So we have choosen our first names, i'm official named now for more than 20 years Cat, my partner Bobcat and our child Lynx.
