Watching Riley is hard for me. She has made the surgical commitment, but even as she acknowledges that transition is hard, she doesn't seem to have a plan for acceptance and an authentic future life. It is not, I think, as important what you've done, what your genitalia is or even how you feel about the process; as what decisions you make going forward to seek and live how you authentically believe that you are. Before that can be done you have to find out who that person is. She seems to be trying to do that on her own is living in the netherworld of feminine transition. I can not imagine doing so without embracing the girl within and allowing her expression in voice, appearance, and demeanor. No wonder she struggles. I guess I'll go look at her youtube posts and send her some love. Julie I invited her to come join us here. I hope she does.
