Ive read in the past that people AFAB who are male, often bind their breasts / chest to present more male and feel more themselves, which i can understand.
Recently i saw something about genderqueer AFAB that have no desire to be male also binding. I am curious about this. Can anyone explain this to me further? Why do you do it? How does it feel?
No judgement here- to be honest its intriguing and im wondering if its something to try. In the name of experimentation!

For example, using an ace bandage is a total do not do it.... There are a million ways to be nonbinary, and dysphoria hits different people in different ways. Its a very individual choice, whether to bind, to have surgeries, to do hormones, or to keep them or grow them. It's all about being who you are.

People have their reasons for how they decide to present, there is no right or wrong way whether you are transsexual, NB, cis binary. Look at trump, he masquerades as a human all the time, despite not actually being one. But really, cross presentations are pretty common for a lot of reasons and who's to say they aren't valid? Just being able to feel safer presenting as someone is a big one. Presentations run from the bar presentations to get laid to safety presentations to just pretending to be someone they want for the day or their life. I see some of that as the same as the nautical captain's hat that some boat owners wear, or the flag pins that republicans wear trying to make people think they actually give a shit about the country and the flag. And then there is the ever popular suits that people wear to try and look professional, doesn't work that way, most all those are disguises and are fun unless you are trying to convince someone that you really are a president and not just someone trying to fool others. If it isn't too uncomfortable for someone wearing a binder, then that takes care of a lot of things, for some big boobs are just more trouble than they can be worth if they even are worth something to that person. And besides, being genderqueer doesn't mean that the same rules apply like they seem to for others, genderqueer isn't about being male or female, it is about being neither for most people. Wearing a binder has nothing to do with being seen as male for a lot of people, it has to do with a slimmer figure or just getting rid of boobs they don't want, no boobs is not a male exclusive thing, some woman have no boobs and some males have bigger than some womans boobs, and then there is the trans in general thing which makes boobs a sort of option at best, there are a lot of reasons and I'm sure others can include on a list of reasons, I'm just getting in my two cents on trump and republicans for the night.

For me I dont bind, and never have tried it.
I do however feel varying degrees of dysphoria around my boobs, which are large for my figure. This does contribute to being viewed as female presenting by others which is not the same as the gender I feel (non binary/gender non conforming).
I have even fantasised about top surgery to feel more like myself, however I do not identify as trans or masculine in particular. Of any gender male is the one i would least identify with.
so I think in answer to your question, someone with boobs, who does not identify as a man may still feel dysphoria about a female presenting body, or they may bind because they prefer to be seen as more androgynous without the accompanying dysphoria.
I am not sure if that helps at all, and is only one perspective
