Hi peoples My name is Kay. I wasn't sure what to put for a title but since I saw lots of similar titles I thought I'd make the thread title say that it was different... meta-ish. I am mid-30s enby. I am mostly pronoun indifferent (she/it/they/he) with slight preference in order that they're listed. I've been exploring gender for nearly two decades now, previously identified as M2F binary transgender, but did so from the closet. Now I am currently identifying internally as "questioning" because I've always just made up my mind about my gender and said "this is who I am for sure" and never just spent time questioning and wondering what my gender really is. When I come out to others (as I've been doing lately) I usually use the label "genderqueer", but I am looking for more specific labels to use for myself. Lately I am leaning towards a concept of being mostly agender naturally but with emotional preferences for femininity that come and go causing a bit of genderfluidity. I present mostly masculine in the offline world but as I come out more and more I am present more androgynously. I'm on a couple of LGBTQ+ boards and mostly hang around the gender sections but I'd been looking for an enby board for a while so I am glad I found one! Anyway, nice to meetcha peoples ** waves ** Welcome, Kay! Make yourself at home. I just identify as nonbinary, in a very general way... I gave up trying to figure out a more specific label. My feelings toward each label always ended up changing, anyway. So, nonbinary it is. I know I fit under that one somewhere. But, good luck in finding one that fits you!

I searched for the truth of finding myself, and it was here, it was deep in my core, and i was freed to live my truth. Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Kay!
Right now I'm going with transfeminine as my label. I previously used a lot of others, including genderfluid. I am a lot less fluid than I once thought I was, and I don't think I'm quite the same as a binary trans woman.

hi Yuki, Trinity and Veronica It's nice to meet you all Thanks for the welcome and things I understand your resistance of labels. I think for many people that less labels is actually better, so I can definitely understand. The analyst in me loves to categorize, code and metricize everything. It helps me to understand and define my interactions with the world. It's also sort of fun for me too I like that I get to dig into words, understand descriptors, and maybe even make up one or two of my one. I may eventually just call myself K-Gender... except when said out-loud it sounds too much like "cage ender"... so I probably wont go with that Anyway, as I poke around the board if I say anything wrong please let me know. Please poke, talk, share. We need more posts, more questions, more dialogue. Often newbies join, but they don't speak out, the old timers are here sharing about pets and cars and playing a word association game, but we really exist to help others, for some of us (me), transition became a life threatening experience, and we like to reach out to make it much easier, but real, with others. So have at it K. Enjoy and speak up, there isn't anything wrong to say here, so have at it! Thanks for sharing
