How to convince mom to let me wear what I want?

I really want to wear guys clothing. But my mom won't allow it. How could I convince her to let me wear the clothes? How could I buy guys clothing? I don't have my own car or money. I'm feeling frustrated. Anyone else in the same situation. What do you do?

It's going to take you taking it an inch at a time, this today that tomorrow.
Trying to turn it mostly the way you want at once can turn into a stand-off.
But a shirt today, pants tomorrow, just chip away at it.
If you get enough clothes you like and nothing bad happens to you or anyone, then you have that on your side.
Most everyone here has had to chip away at things, it can take what seems like a long time, but once done, it's worth it.
Patience rules these kinds of things, baby steps before you can run, the slow change, a bit at a time, you'll get there.

I'm in the exact same crappy situation. What I've been doing is wearing the most masculine and/or androgynous """""girl's"""" clothing I can, usually consisting of straight leg jeans and giant T shirts, as well as shopping in stores that don't have specifically gendered clothes. And also (to restate what the other people replying said) try to convince your mom to allow you to get the clothes you want, which will take a while and probably result in some upsetting comments (my example being when my mom didn't let me get boxers because "I'm a girl") ((haha no I'm not)) but it'll be worth it.

I was gently discouraged from wearing what I really wanted, rather than banned. But I knew what mom meant.
I just opted for the most neutral things I could. Baggy t-shirts (tourist locales rarely separate gendered t-shirts!), jeans or home made cut-off shorts... Just sprinkling it it in among all the things I was "expected" to wear, so she was exposed to it over time. So the more I wore it, the less she noticed. Until it wasn't an issue, it was, "*** it, do what you want, I'm tired of fighting with you."

And my aunt was always happy enough to take me shopping, and let me buy boys jeans (which was all I was brave enough to do back then.).

When you're making your own money, it should be fully acceptable to buy whatever you like. Hopefully things will change by then..
