My word before that was two words is often spoken as one word.
When running sound checks on PA systems, the word is used over and over into each mike.
I have no idea if it is wide spread or not, but I have heard it used that way many times.
I think it started out as a joke?
But once you get used to it, it has a range that makes it easy to set EQ's and levels.
Worked for me anyways...
