I do not, but tone and content changes based on subject, and so does the perception of self.
But I am not presenting female, I present me.
Do you mod your voice? Feel it change? Feel shifting based on content or emotional connections?
A fun, frivolous thread to rest into.
Blessings my dears

I would love to sound like a girl when speaking but involves practise...
Although I do have times where I raise my voice and it sounds convincingly like a girl. For example, I watched my friend take a selfie of herself, and I chimed in, "Selfie timmmme~" and my friend's brother stared at her, did a double-take and blurted, "Did you just say 'selfie time'?!" I cracked up laughing so hard but it was a huge indicator there and then that it is possible for me to do female voices.
When I am nervous or angry, my voice drops further to a gruff tone. It still freaks me out. I sound like The Hulk!
When I am relaxed, my voice is normal and I am not afraid to let my voice go above the male-ish range when excited or wanting to be melodramatic.

We should make a voice thread where we can just post mp3/wav. files of members saying random stuff and generally being silly!
I know there's a online program that allows people to sing together from various parts of the world. Here's one example - Click me!

I worked on my voice years ago and after a while of it, things just sort of worked out to where I was fairly naturally talking in a more female sounding voice without putting any effort into it.

I have passed off my voice as female, but it is that low smokey kind of voice and I got away with it on the phone. What made it pass was more of how I said things rather than my voice itself. Somewhere right after high school it dropped down considerably, but I was also forcing that as well. I was teased at times for sounding like a girl through most of those years when the guys voices were changing. I just couldn't do it and really didn't even want to until my last year of high school. Even then, that girls voice just came out on it's own. Doing the man up thing, which failed miserably, I did learn to drop it down quite a bit until it just stuck with me. The part of me that I have always known and grew up with as the feminine side or part of me, manned up quite well. Which took a lot of pressure off of the part of me that I identify as the male. That side of me, that part of me, became more nurturing, quiet and is the part of me that raised my daughters, because their mother was a complete failure at it. Almost like a role reversal, but not really. That voice never did learn to use deeper tones when speaking, and that's the one that I used with my girls. But the years and a bazillion cigarettes later, it's pretty rough around the edges.

I used to in order to sound more neutral or masculine. Not so much anymore.

I worked on it and trained it, now it passes without fail without any effort. Its a big plus for me I think.
The only time I don't like it, is if I shout/call out loud. That triggers me horribly and after I shout, the way I see myself (in the mirror) nose dives really heavily and I start to spiral down. That's why I am thinking about getting a voice op done. Everyone tells me I don't need it, but that's because they don't ever hear the shouty voice or understand how it affects me.

I speak in my normal male voice but I can sound quite female if I want, however since it's not important for me as non-binary to try and alter what is just really me, I don't make the effort.

That would be my only choice if I was so driven toward a perfect female voice as I was impressed by those who have gone that route, but it is a rather huge financial commitment!

I never consciously altered my voice. But when I transitioned, I noticed that when I was presenting male, my voice would once in a while pass as male on the phone. When I presented female, I was always interpreted as being female. Even if I said "hi this is David" the response was always "hello, ma'am." When I went full time it created some situations that were pretty hilarious in retrospect. I wonder if I'm the only person who has been accused of trying to steal their own identity . . . .
