What do you think is coming?
How will the young people change the destiny of trans?
I don't know but I think they have more in their favor.
I wonder what they bring, what they want from us that are older?

They are soooo changing the world right now, and each day more and more come out.. For the most part, they are loud and proud, and not afraid to express themselves..! There is so much more support teens have today than any of us older folk ever dreamed of.. Theres countless youtube videos by young people of all gender identities expressing themselves, and being so honest and open with their feelings and lives, they all just inspire so many others who are timidly searching for themselves, and needing questions answered.. In the "Gender Fluid" closed group on FB, we have 5-10 new ones joining every day.. These kids are amazing.! They are so smart, and many of them are far more grounded in who they are than some of us older folks..
I'm not sure that they need much from us.? Maybe we are the ones who are going to be looking up to many of them.. Maybe we should just get out of the way, and let them take off, let them excel and reach for they're own stars..
I know there are some troubled kids, and yeah they are the ones we need to help, but from what I see every day, the majority are really doing quite well, and have huge support from they're peers, friends, others they're own age..
I'm totally positive that the future will be bright for most..

The ones that will learn the most, is us, from them.
I hope they post on the thread.
Let us know what they think of us older folk.
We can learn still, we are not so old as to learn new tricks.
Hence, late transition.... HAH!
I don't go outside this forum. I don't feel safe outside this forum. People know me here.
Common kids, that's anyone under what, 40? Whaddya think? Hows it been growing up, lots of us are from the 60's and 70's. It was shitty back then for us. And we are on mushrooms and little purple fairy dust pills....least us old transioning nb mtf and andro types are....
What do you think, whats on your mind? No right or wrong posts here, just people saying hi.

I think since the advent of the internet that the world is virtually shrinking dramatically as more information is available to people at a younger age than before. Couple that with social liberalism and no doubt a younger, more informed and vibrant group will spring up. It's kind of like adding sunlight to well watered and fertile soil and all kinds of things come to life.

I just reposted a similar topic as this in the youth group I'm in, asking them this question.
I'm very curious what they post.? I'll try and share here what I can within they're privacy rules.

If a forum for them would work, I can see this one as being wide open to them and it already is. Their ways of using social media and the Internet in general is different than what we are used to , the older ones here. A forum is about as fast as I can go and keep up with. But I can also see this place being reformatted by younger and younger people if they care to use it. Indeed we do need to get out of their way. We have the ways that we have grown into, they have the ways that they have grown up with. I see this forum as still being relevant if they wished to take it over. I'm talking about the current teens and twenty somethings out there. Thirties are still in pretty much the same category as grew into what the Internet has to offer. We can't let our set ways of doing things stand in their way, they're the ones who are actually making a difference in society. Instead of fighting against bigotry, they are facing it down with an 'in their face, fuck off' kind of attitude and the other ones their age back them up. Sure there is still a long ways to go, but they pretty much know that we fucked up their future and aren't waiting around for us to fix it. They come into society with that get out of the way attitude already. By the time the twenty somethings are the thirty somethings, they will be the ones in control and not from a marketing standpoint. Which is basically what has ruled the older generations, industry markets to them what they wanted to sell us. I think the younger generations are demanding the products they want or they simply won't buy. They command a buyers market, where we had to put up with the sellers market, because there wasn't another way around it. It's the same thing about bigotry, what has held back generations of people who are different. Not only will they not tolerate being treated that way, they celebrate the differences for what they are. They see that innovations that they will need to survive is going to have to come from their own generations and they know diversity will get them there. The future of trans? I don't think the bigots as usual are going to be a problem, they already ignore them and do what they feel is necessary to ensure the future they want. Which is far different than the one those of us who grew into the Internet experience. The groups that are meeting IRL that come from the trans centers in use right now are mostly younger and are the ones who are making the best progress. What does that say about they ones who belong to groups like Mark is talking about? They already have it together and are ready and willing to take the future by the horns and make it theirs. We already are seeing the benefits from them ourselves. You didn't think this wave of acceptance came from us did you? A bunch of kids who are taking the world by storm, and they are just getting started. Ativan
