I have been hearing that this idiot's ex wife had mentioned that he admitted to her he was gay or had gay tendencies. I also heard that someone that he went to the police academy with knew he was gay and they both frequented gay bars. I can't understand that though because the shit I had to go through really weeds out the psychos. Well for the most part anyway. Maybe it has something to do with the police academy simultaneously training candidates for armed security guard positions. I just really don't know but if so it wouldn't be the first time that a gay basher or someone that has such hatred for themselves have taken that hatred out on others like themselves. But this instance was just too extreme though. Mixed with a strict religious doctrine against homosexuality and turmoil within and a self hatred for what or who one is, is a recipe for disaster.
What gets me is that some of the patrons mentioned that they had often seen him in the club. Was he casing it to see if it was a soft enough target? Or was he testing the waters and his own desires. I even heard on the news that his father called him gay in front of his wife and others. Maybe not too much of a coincidence. This scenario actually passed through my mind in the beginning and if this is the case then this is piss poor.
Regardless of whether or not the shooter was gay, it does show an underlying problem in society with strict religious doctrines and using them as an excuse for hate and to kill. I still believe that it was a direct cause of extreme Islamic terrorism and shows just how un accepting sharia law is. OK, so I have a penis no matter how small. I like guys. I am transgendered and if I am going to hell because of that then I promise you I will not be at the front of the line. Child molesters, murderers, serial killers, thieves and so on will be way in front of me. But if I do go to hell for being Trans and feeling like a woman and liking guys then that is no one's business but mine. I don't need to be saved. I don't need to be judged either. No one has the right to judge another unless they are a threat to other people like this asshole was. Then they still don't need to be judged but rather scrutinized and then put away out of society if deemed to be a threat to others.
So even if he was gay and hated himself and others like him. I blame him and strict religious doctrines and indoctrination probably from early childhood. When is this shit going to end? Don't get me wrong, I still say it was an extremist Islamic terrorist attack because no one that just snaps calls 911 and claims allegiance to the leader of a radical extreme religious organization without some type of indoctrination. no one that just snaps buys weapons one of which he had to wait three days just because he is an avid sport shooter. This shit was planned. He bought the rifle and took it home the same day. Someone that just snaps would have used it that same night instead of waiting for the clearance for the handgun. But hating oneself because of that indoctrination and the cowardice to be one's own self is sad.
Someone that he worked with which happened to be an ex cop while being an armed security guard and badmouthing women and blacks should have been warning signs to the company when brought to their attention. But they were too scared to fire him because they did not want to be islamaphobes. Being a redneck and if I said the same shit you bet your ass I would have been shit canned the next day.
BTW everyone is calling this AR 15 style rifle was not an assault rifle. Someone that was pretty much a weapons expert in the military knows the difference. Yes I qualified as expert on the M16, the M4, the M16 with grenade launcher, the .45 1911 Colt the 9 mm Baretta and the M60. You cannot buy an assault rifle in the US. An assault rifle especially an AR15 is either semi and fully automatic or semi and 3 round bursts. You can only buy semi automatics at any licensed gun shop. A .223 I explained yesterday why they cause so much damage but I can go in and buy a semi automatic .223 that is fully wood or synthetic and not considered an assault rifle. The dumbest thing that I have ever heard is that if it has a pistol grip then it is an assault weapon. A Ruger Mini 14 is the same caliber as and AR15 (5.56mm or .223 caliber both the same) and is semi automatic but doesn't have a pistol grip. A Ruger Mini 30 which is a little bigger as in a .30 caliber or 7.62mm and the same caliber as an AK47 doesn't have a pistol grip but the AK does. But you can't buy a fully automatic AK47 in the US either. Only Semi Automatic. They both fire the same amount of rounds in the same time and personally I like the Mini 14s and Mini 30s better thant the AR15 and AK47. I have fired both and the Ruger is way more dependable. AR15s suck because the dirtier they get the more they will jam. AKs are more reliable but still not as smooth as the Minin 30. But I guess we are talking about a bunch of egghead lawyers that have no experience in firearms. Nothing new there. I know plenty of people that know everything but can't find their asses with both hands and a flashlight.
But this is not a firearm problem as much as a cross agency problem. If I can remember right, background checks go through the ATF. The shooter was investigated by the FBI twice for possible terrorist ties. So the ATF and FBI is not communicating possible threats. This is the same thing that happened with 911. The CIA, the FBI and the ATF never crossreferenced these hijackers.
So if I get busted with pot and secure a felony conviction then I can't own or buy guns anymore. But it seems if the FBI investigates me twice for being a terrorist then I can.
For me the poroblem is not firearms but idiot politicans and beuracracies that do not communicate with one another. Like I mentioned ealier to drive a truck where I am I have to get finger printed twice once for hazmat with the FBI evey four years and once every 5 years to renew a TWIC card with the TSA. 94 dollars for the hazmat and 132 dollars and 50 cents for the TWIC card. Fingerprints do not change. So why do I have to be fingerprited twice every fucking time? Its the money. I get cleared within a day. Why? Because some idiot is googling my name probably not even from the FBI or TSA even and if nothing comes up then I am good. Real security there. 
I have seen drivers denied the TWIC card until a thorough background check is performed because they have a juvenile record for fucking shoplifting even.
Why did I mention all this? Because I am severely pissed off. Two times investigated as a terrorist by the FBI and the ATF clears him to buy firearms? What the fuck were they thinking. But if someone that got caught with a little pot at 18 and convicted for it can't? We have enough gun laws. But this PC shit is allowing stuff like this to happen. I own a lot of guns, some actual antiques, some modern I even have a double barrel .500 Nitro Elephant gun but actually it is a big game gun used in Africa. No you can't hunt elephants any more I don't think. I never plan to hunt with it but it is fucking beautiful and extremely challenging to shoot. It will actually put you on you ass if you don't plant your feet right. If I still hunted and shot a deer with that gun I could crawl through the wound it would make. I keep it on display though.
Anyway sorry for the rant. But a lot of shit like this can be squashed if we just use the gun laws we have now, have cross agency communication and use a little common sense.
