SO I have a credit card in my dead name that I still haven't changed over. I had to renew it for the purposes of rent and expenses and such. This time however I didn't go into the whole "my name is actually this and not that" routine I've come accustomed to, and just kind of went with it. Oddly enough I was gendered in the feminine! (I have a VERY masculine dead name).
The point of the story is, if this was a year ago I would have flipped my shit. It was a win for me as far as preserving my serenity.
Do any of you have a story you feel comfortable with sharing on adapting the crud so many of us endure with dead naming?

I actually dont deal with that much except with docs. I will say when i am full out sh'e and stealth, its the worse. Instant outing. Im not sure how many of us here changed them. Interesting to think on. On a side note my wife called me she and he in the same sentence talking to our daughter today. Yup.

Yeah, the costumer service rep used my dead name while gendering me in she. Very interesting experience.

I care more about the pronoun than the name.
Besides, my male name can be female too.

Yes, it is my daughter's name, but with an "i" at the end instead.

Yes, it is my daughter's name, but with an "i" at the end instead. LOL Might as well end this secret
Perry. Or Perri.
But call me Trinity, please.
Only trans people and doctors and theater people call me Trinity. And it is music and wonder in my ears.
And of course, I am also known as Satin Joy...
then there is the Actors Equity name
And the professional name
And then the names people call me...
OK we'll just go with Sh'e
LOL

Well I have seen women named James before. I have also seen guys name Francise before. Really what is in a name? You look extremely femme and sound femme, let them wonder.
Hell I thought you were gonna' say you got a phone call from a dead person then I would say call me and my little team and we would investigate that.
