There could be loads and loads of stuff like this going on without being reported. But given the achievements in LGBT rights last year--the passage of Same-Sex Marriage and the Gender Recognition Act--it would be quite discouraging if this sort of thing is still a common occurrence. You have to suspect that it is. But note what the assailant in this incident said: "I voted for same-sex marriage, but I didn't vote for that." He's a rather confused individual, isn't he?
