As a person who wishes to look as feminine as possible on the outside, I am considering estrogen in the future but would like to avoid experiencing the fluctuating ovulation hormonal feelings that previously caused me dysphoria. (Please don't tell me to keep my current ovaries, they have to be removed in order for me to meet the requirements for phalloplasty and to avoid the risk of ovarian cancer in the future. If I could give them to you, I would in a heartbeat... although they probably would not be much use now.)
I heard from a FAAB folks that they experienced ovulation cycle feelings even though their uterus was removed and menstruation ceased, so I wondered if lovely ladies such as yourselves experienced feelings or sensations commonly associated with ovulation cycles on your HRT regime?

I'd hardly be qualified to answer this as being lovely is not possible for me and lady is also out of the question, however I will say that having been without my own gonads which correspond to ovaries and being on estrogen for lo these many years I have experienced some excessive emotions at times when reading about someone's sad event, and my breasts go from the normal soft to hard, tingly and extremely sensate at times. Other than that, nothing to write home about!

Doesn't happen to me at all. My estrogen levels are very stable. Although my girlfriend accused me of being on the rag last week, sadly I was just cross and bitchy rather than menstruating.
When you talk to your Doc. Explore patches, although I have found sublingual estrogen taken multiple times daily very effective and satisfying.

Howd i miss this thread. On injections the answer is YES. Emphatically. Do you feel that the rush and mood swings may be in diametric opposition with what you are trying to accomplish through AA? I know when alcoholics and addicts go into treatment that coffee, sugar and soda's with caffeine are not allowed. Just asking, this isn't criticism so don't flutter off dear!

I know when alcoholics and addicts go into treatment that coffee, sugar and soda's with caffeine are not allowed. Just asking, this isn't criticism so don't flutter off dear! No worries. And i inject today... I get bitchy before my shot. And very she for 24 to 48 hours, and euphoric. Its an easy csse its medicslly necessary. I most likely cant get where i want to on patches but thst may ne self deception. No, its not in opposition to AA. I dont abuse it, its doctor driven and watched closely, on pills my levels are 35 on max dose vs 250 tp 350 on a massive shot. I have the brain receptors but burn up the hormones fast on the stress. Its high octane fuel in my racecar body. But no. Its been discussed in AA. Its like brain chems. As to shots vs pstch, lets not go there pleade. Wrong timing for thst discusson. *flutters at Shanto bother them lol* *Flutters at Taka for attention*

I'm not 100% sure if it does to me or not but I think it kinda does? I'm on bi-weekly patches, e levels pretty steady in general, but I do think that I am a bit more bitchy, emotional, hot tempered on day 4 (day I am to change em), or if I'm late to change em. I noticed a few incidents which make me suspect that that may be the case: The day I quit at work was one of em, got super upset, emotions def played a role in it too, and another time I bitched at boss cuz she was pissing me off when usually I'd keep myself in check. Could just be random incidents tho.
On a side note, totally unrelated as I noticed pre-hrt and is still occuring while on it, I do get like monthly headaches..I suspected it was cuz of my bad teeth then but also kinda joked to myself that it's just that time of the month..dunno if that happened to anyone else or not or something similar?

Hi all, I'm gonna chime in here sorta, I dont know how to talk internet so I will fake it. I used to notice a difference before my dosages were raised and that was over a year ago (even then my #'s were about 1000)but most if not all of that was length of time in between injections or 10 days. For well over a year and two dosage increases I am at 7 day injection cycles and no peaks or valleys. Now to be fair, some of this calm may be that I am also on a relatively high dosage of Prometrium. I've gone through my share of sketchy mood swings but like I said they are in the past. Not sure if that helped or not. Dani
