Welcome. We also have an SO section that can be used. Its kind of inactive but could help.
Best thing for a trans friend is to love them as they are. A friend at our sides makes a big difference.

all you have to do is treat your friend as who they say they are. then you can of course also read all our weird conversations here, or ask whatever questions you may have.

Believe they are who they say they are and use the language they ask you to, even if that ends up changing. That's my number one advice for being a supportive friend.
