It is presumptuous for me to write in this section, but I can't see a better place to write it.
I have spent my life creating safe spaces for mauled and wounded souls, its just something i am passionate about. Its something I want others to also be passionate about too.
The forum has evolved over the last year into something very special, it achieved the dream of what we wanted, it was initially set up as a safe place for the nonbinary folks to be true to themselves and to talk freely.
There are many who have been harmed in the journey of trans, hurt in a thousand ways, but not here on this forum. We are here to help you. There are a number of seasoned transpeople on this forum who are dedicated to helping others, to sharing their experience and their hope, and we are from so many backgrounds, so many different ways.
For those who join, there are safe places to share the deep things that are out of the public eye, a members only place where you can open up, not be shy, and say anything you want. I have done this, I shared my deepest shameful secrets in here, in a safe place, and found out there was nothing to be ashamed of, nothing at all. And healing came as a result.
The forum is rich in music, in the arts, in knowledge and gender, and in current events. It is a place you can hang out, pull up a seat, and enjoy all we have, you don't even need to say a word. It is a protected place, one that is safe.
You are trans, you need to feel safe, you need to be loved. You will find that here.
Those of us who are core contributors are of one mind and spirit on this. We are all dedicated to helping others, to being an outstretched hand, a hug in the darkness, a voice in the night of experience and truth. We are not of the standard trans narratives, each of us found our own path, no one size fits all solution in finding peace and joy in the lives we now live. We force nothing on anyone, we hate nobody, but we tolerate no abuse. We are the warriors of trans, in the written word, and we are here for you.
So I wanted to write this little post to you, my dear one, who are looking in, afraid, shy, ashamed, or just battle worn, and needing to recharge. This is a place for you to find sanctuary, the unicorn forest of nonbinary trans, but also of the binary too, all are welcome here. The only rule is to love each other, and never to discredit another's experience of themselves. It is a place of truth and light and beauty, an oasis in a hostile world, a place of magic, a place of love.
Come. We are here.
